Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
I bet without the block-in-the-back penalties on Banks' returns, we'd be at least 8-8. It definitely cost us 1 game, 2 I really think.

One of those calls was questionable at best.

Agreed, but even so, our players should have more dicipline not to do anything that looks like a block in the back. Banks doesn't need the help. |
Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
Herschell was a great college player, and a pretty good nfl player too, but that seems overshadowed by his workouts/physical shape & the minnesota trade.
I know someone says he runs a 4.38. Bet that was hand timed & if went to the combine he would be closer to 4.6. He would have to be slower in terms of quickness & reflexes. IT would be interesting to see how he could stack up now, but I don't think it's realistic that he could make a team. His best bet would be fullback, but he was never a good blocker.
Was that a guess? It's pretty accurate. The conversion from hand time to FAT for distances under 400m is +0.24 which means a 4.38 is equivalent to a 4.62. IMO we always have too much drama going on a Redskins Park don't need to add it by bringing in a 49 year old. |

Has anyone tried the Jolly Rancher flavor popsicles? They are "Fing" good!

Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
With a 5th-degree black belt in Taekwondo I'd let him play linebacker. Are kicks to the chess illegal in the NFL?

I think both kicks and chess are illegal in the NFL. |

Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
Amen!
Herschel might get unnecessary roughness/headshot penalties though!
At least he'll send a message with the first, and then they all will shy away. Maybe even the refs. hehe:D |
Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
I would kill to have a body like that now, but I can only imagine being in THAT great of shape when I turn 48!

Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
If anyone could do it Walker could. But there is no way he could play RB in the NFL at 48. He'd take a couple of hits and that would be it.

Re: Herschel walker wants NFL return!!!
What would be it, he's gonna fall apart?
If he can fight in the MMA, I think it's safe to say he could take some hits in the NFL. I think where he might run into some problems would be trying to hold up over the course of an entire season. |

Strange things happen every day. I'm still trying to figure out his motive for wanting to do this, and just what he intends to prove. He's already given the game the best he has to offer. |
