Kanye is mos def talented but more from a production standpoint than actually rapping.
Eminem is good, never really like him though.
Nas is one of my favorite artist of all times...from a rapping standpoint he is the most talented on the list.

I heard a little of Krit, not bad, on the single though he verse is kinda weak def gets outshined by bun and luda. Wayne ok hes never really stood out too me. If you want to talk down south....go to Houston Zero, Bun, Chamillionare, Devin the Dude etc.It raw, less "lights" more actual rapping.

Drake? nawww not buying him a talented, dudes a bore...trys too hard
I'm all about Southern Rap grew up is MS, I like TX rap for sure..
I've listened to Wayne since I was 12 so I'm just biased to him, but his work has proven how good he his.. I listen to all Rap though, as long as its good anyway, Soulja Boy? Nah LOL
I miss the days of Eric B. and Rakim, Kool Moe Dee, Sugar Hill Gang...

That Soulja Boy song is just awful, even without the controversial lyrics. I mean I get that music is in the ear of the beholder...but you gotta be deaf to enjoy that song
Eric B and Rakim, hell ya!!!!

Dont forget about Wu Tang, Tribe called quest, Vanilla Ice, etc.....

For all the hatters, rap doesn't need you...it's doing just fine without your supports. You're more than welcome to continue to listen to your hick music and leave rap be.

Haters can suck a dck.

Since when have record sales been a standard for quality? The average music consumer is tone-deaf.

Soulja Boy is a coke head who is also a shitty rapper. He is legit now a days because unlike the days of your mic skills are not what you are judged by. Tattoos, chains, the skinniest jeans hanging lower than everyone elses, and a hell of a hook is all you need. Now if you add a dance to it, that's extra credit right there !

I like Wiz Kalifah, Devin The Dude, can tolerate some of Lil Wayne but A Tribe Called Quest stays on rotation. As well as Gangstarr, KRS One, Wu-Tang, Eric B and Rakim, Busta Rhymes, Mos Def, Talib, Public Enemy, I could keep going on.

But for those that hate rap if you like rock I can get down with Metallica, System of A Down, The Mars Volta, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Marylin Manson, Rage Against The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Janes Addiction, I can go on and on.

Country ? Give me Randy Travis or some Conway Twitty and I'm good !

I can give you classical as well. I'm well rounded but if you don't like rap that's your opinion. But Soulja Boy is some shit !
