I think it was T Owens who went and had stem cell treatment to his knee.

With the pounding this guy takes in the "backfield" it was bound to happen.
I'll try this again..... all media outlets are basing their assumption Tony will be playing off of the HC saying today in his media session that Tony will be playing. It is also understood he made that comment prior to Romo having his MRI or X-Rays or whatever. It has been reported late that Romo had a "collapsed lung" not just a broken rib. This is the lates from the team/medical staff....

NOTE: In the last sentence it says Romo's status is "up in the air". Personally I highly doubt he plays and I can't imagine the League would allow him to play knowing he has such a serious injury and personally I feel it's worse then a concussion.
i know it sounds horrible, but a pneumothorax isnt too serious. of course, it sucks, but people spontaneously collapse one of their lungs all of the time. my handymans son just recently had one, along with a cracked rib, and he plays football in high school. know how many practices he missed? just one, the day after it happened. he played the next friday night as well, not sure if he performed well, but you get the point. a cracked rib with a collapsed lung SOUNDS a hell of alot worse than it really is. all it means is a little extra air in your pleural space, which limits the lung from inflating on inspiration. after a needle decompression, which i am sure he has already had, it usually fixes itself and heals very rapidly.

They thought they took care of that when they released his GF...uh...LT Flozelle. Apparently Romo leaves his "blindside" open to any Dominant DE or Penetrating LB.

Everyone knows Tony's most recent injury came from the pounding he received to his blindside from Carlos, a blitzing CORNER BACK! So its not just dominate DE’s and penetrating LB’s, pounding CB's have also proven capable to cause trauma when leveling hits on Tony's blindside. Jeez man, get your facts straight.....

A couple serious things:

To echo SS it sounds like Wilson is in some pain still:

Josh Wilson’s status still unknown - The Insider - The Washington Post

I had a extremely similar injury when i played football in HS, put my neck down at point of contact and hurt my neck and back. I was out of practice for at least 2 weeks and definitely had trouble doing things on the field because of pain for a solid month or 2. I still have lower back issues from it. Hopefully Phillip can recover faster and is a little tougher then i was....

Also Phillip Buchanon is suspended through 4 games. I believe we have our bye on week 5 so he wont be back until week 6.

There is no way Romo had a collapsed Lung and kept playing. He may have had a small portion of his lung collapse but not the entire lung. The medical staff should have released a percentage to go along with that statement.

My guess would be 5-10%. A injury like that should always be based on percentage. 5-10% compared to 100%......no where close. If it was even close to being serious he would've been in the hospital with a chest tube in place.

Typical overblown Cowboy news to hype Romo.....

Re: Player Injury Report Thread

Found this thread...... it was only 10% and they actually probably overstated that as well. He should be good by Monday but Orakpo and Kerrigan could put him out if he does play.

Re: Player Injury Report Thread

If one of his lungs isn't working I'm sure they could quickly implant a colostomy lung and he could play just fine with some padding.

If Wilson misses this game it will be huge. I think he is more important than say Laron. Guy has played extremely well he first couple games. Big loss, but would be easier to handle if Romo is out.

If Romo plays and Wilson is out, expect 4 and 5 wide all day long and limited blitzing by us. It puts us at a huge disadvantage.
