Re: Redskins Bye Week

I watched Fred Jackson fly past the Eagles D in the highlights yesterday, and my main thought was,"If I'm Roy Helu, I'm salivating pretty hard right now."

If I'm Shanny, my plan is bang 'em in the start with Torain and then once they're worn down let Helu run circles on 'em.

I'd give all 3 RB's 10 carries if possible

Crap, I have Hightower for fantasy, is he gonna get me squat?

I think he's still a little banged up. But he'll probably see some action.

I'm encouraged by the fact that both Bowen and Cofield are very familiar with playing against Vick and the Eagles, as well as Dirty30's will be back there.

Just read that Hightower was hiding a bit of a shoulder injury and the bye gave him a chance to rest up -- can't wait to see what he does against that awful Philly LB corps

We tryed that against the Rams...And quite frankly it looked embarressing watching Rex and the receivers trying to complete a pass. We need to run Torain and punish them and bring in the other 2 too change it up.

Do we know who our starting RB is next week?
I'd say Torain starting is a no brainer.

You can never tell with Shanny though, unless he has a Terrel Davis type RB he is more than willing to put anyone of his RBs in as the starter.

Skins moved up two spots in ESPN power rankings during the bye week

"OK, Rex Grossman. We're watching you. The division is yours for the taking. What have you got? (Fox)"

I tend to like it more when no one is talking about them.

Thats true, its more of a gut feeling/logical thinking type of thing I guess. But like you say...

While most of his teammates scattered across the country, getting some rest and recovery in their home towns during the bye week, tight end Fred Davis decided to remain in the area and continued to report to Redskins Park to receive treatment for various bumps and bruises.

The tight end was happy to learn that quarterback Rex Grossman decided to do the same thing, and the two took advantage of the opportunity to get in some throwing and catching.

“It was just working on things we’re going to put in this week, running the same routes we always run and just working on not losing a step,” Davis said Monday after his team’s first practice following the bye.

^ I love to read that kind of stuff. Davis has come a ways from oversleeping. Good to see and it has definitely made a difference. He's a freak at TE.
