I'm.just not a fan of Rambo, I think people wanted him here because of his cool name or something, he was good at GA but there's a reason he wasn't drafted high. For instance honey badger had a great game Sunday and was all over the field. Rambo is slow and gets juked by everyone.
He lasted till the 6th round for a reason, Matthieu was supposed to have been top 10 if he wasn't a druggie. Rambo has potential and will eventually be solid. Matthieu was a risky pick, just look at Tanard Jackson. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
We need to establish the run game right away on Sunday. Morris will likely redeem himself and if he's still struggling Helu needs to get work right away. The passing game has to work off the running game at this point because the oline is so weak, so lots of play action and maybe some read option but I don't think defenses see RG as a big threat right now. Mix in reverses and screens too. Bottom line is Mike and Kyle need to get creative in ways that minimize risk to RG instead of expand risk.
Defensively, I have a feeling we'll be better this game. London needs to step it up and will. Communication is key and will improve. |
Hey Giantone, what are your thoughts on D. Scott? Other than the problem with the catch, I thought he played okay given the circumstances.
I think he did ok , not great the last play wasn't his fault .Coughlin will get the running backs straight . Wilson will be very good . |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
Rambo was never good in college at open field tackling, or tackling in general. If you watched the SEC championship game he looked almost afraid to tackle Eddie Lacy. We should not expect that to change throughout his NFL career.
What he is good at is not getting beat deep and he has shown the ability to break up long passes in college against good quarterbacks. The Redskins last night put him in positions that did not show off his strengths. Let him stay at FS and play deep and as long as he doesn't forget his assignments (Jackson TD) he will be fine. He can play. |

We all know Clay Matthews is going to hit him anyway, so he might as well get some yards while he is getting hit. |
Eli Manning is a turnover machine; he leads the league in turnovers since 2010. The two Super Bowl wins were because of great plays by WRs. And the two Super Bowl MVP awards are because Eli is a quarterback(albeit a mediocre one).RG3>Eli!
Yep, ask Joe Flacco how that award works. Jacoby Jones got robbed. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
The Packers Redskins game may simply come down to who has the ball last. Turnovers are killers and the Skins simply have to win the turnover battle to win this game. They can't give Rodgers extra possesion. I was honestly surprised at how they could stay in the Eagle game after so many miscues.

One more possession and we would have won that game too. Griffin was on fire by the end.

The San Diego Chargers play the eagles at Philly next week... San Diego will be super bowl champions. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
^Well that's interesting!

Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
I think our secondary is in for a real long day Sunday. A real long day. We're going to need some turnovers to win this game. If there was anytime for Orakpo to dominate it's this week.
