Ok so Devil's Advocate here, we all love the 2012 RG3 because of read-option and play action and misdirection and all the things that made RG3 a "force". NOW we can't play "2012 RG3 football" because he might get hurt. So we basically have to hamstring him and make him a pocket passer so he won't get hurt, but in all honestly maybe he is not an Andy Dalton pocket passer. So then what do you do? Cousins is a pocket passer. Yes he was playing with and against the 2nds but he looks good in an Andy Dalton offense.

Here is what I think, I think we see 5-10 read options on Sunday September 7th, we see more bootlegs, we see quick screens. I hope what happens is Gruden takes a look at RG3 and asks him "tell me 10 plays you really like, and lets run those!"
what i bolded is what i expect to see week 1. i also think what we saw against the browns will be his MO - quick hits and on longer pass plays if the 1st read isnt there his 2nd read is a dump down/safety valve. obviously i would love it if rg3 could go through progressions like peyton or brady but he is still learning and growing and isnt there yet. but he will be one day.

Should we have a QB starter poll? RG3, Kirk, Colt, Tebow or bring back Colt Brennan
My biggest concern is that to improve you have to know you need to improve. RG3's attitude has not been, "I need to improve", it has been "I am great, but I am being held back by coaches, teammates, injury, haters, doubters, etc". Always excuses.

I just don't think he gets it.
How do you know that's his attitude? I ask, because, I never really hear that in his answers, admittedly he doesn't speak in "I" terms either, but I think that comes from his dad's upbringing, there is no I in team so to speak. Speaking only to his work habits that have been reported, I think he absolutely looks at his mistakes and works to improve consistently.

i see both sides of the "attitude" argument. i think there is enough there for both sides to make valid but subjective arguments .... at the end of the day, our record and his play will speak for itself.

Sally Jenkins? I don't know. At times it almost seemed like she had a thing for him, but then she also wrote pieces like this. I think she just loves the controversial and negative. Honestly, I think she could write an article demeaning Alfred Morris.

I think Brennan's melon is damaged. Has anybody seen Scott Mitchel these days I saw him on the previews for this weight loss show last night he weighs like 400 lbs.

My vote is Heath Shuler but I hear he is making commercials these days.

I'm more concerned about Chester and Polumbus than RG3.

I don't see both sides! I think all that has been written about his supposedly bad attitude is just plain false. There is no evidence to back it up.

On the other hand, here is plenty of evidence to back up the fact that he has been working hard all off-season to improve his weaknesses.

I'm growing tired of people trashing RGIII's character. Questioning his performance is fair game. Questioning his character based on nothing more than possible misunderstandings of his comments is not fair.

To put it another way: This is bullshit!

I'm thinking you could really take advantage of Clowney on some Read Option in Week 1. I don't know why I feel that way but I do. RG3 better learn how to slide this week. Can he skip a day of practice with the Redskins and go practice with the Nationals? At least pick up some winning attitude?

Did Polumbus even touch Dumervil on that one 3rd and long play?
It's like judging RGIII on his 20 preseason throws.
True but it was not just his throws that were concerning. It was his total lack of command of the basics. None of it matters until Sept. 7th. Hopefully he comes out ready to ball.
