I think it's great people are keeping their jobs, but let's skip the bullshit and call it what is is. $7 million in tax incentives to save 1000 jobs? Something doesn't add up. So what do we do now anytime a company threatens to move jobs? Bend over backwards and give them millions in tax breaks? Sounds like the usual story of the rich getting richer. More trickle down clowns.
I agree. How long will the jobs remain? Why are they still closing another plant and sending those jobs to Mexico? Why didn't Pence handle this himself as Governor instead of bringing Trump into the picture? What happens when the "next" company wants the same deal,or will they be told no becuase the parent company doesn't have DoD contracts to hold over their heads?

So apparently the current and former CEO's of Exxon are being considered for secretary of state? Wow. That is not scary at all considering how Scumbag feels about the environment. Wall St + Oil Companies + Donald "fucking scumbag" Trump = the new leaders of the free world.
God help us.

Re: Recount Opinions

The tax incentives to Carrier are spread out over a period of I believe 10 years(?) but that also comes with a Carrier commitment to reinvestment that money within the state of Indiana with expansion efforts.

So its not like Carrier will claim a 7 million or whatever deduction at the end of the year. Or its not like when Obama administration negotiated with a state sponser of terror, Iran, for the hostages release and then immediately put 400 million on a plane sent it to them. Immediately then told the American people that was not related to the deal. Which the State department admitted a month later, absolutely was part of the deal.

I remember when this was all said and done, I'm like, "OK, I'll wait and see."

This is a total, absolute shit-show.

I wonder how the people who voted for him are feeling about these choices and his statements regarding campaign promises?

How anybody in their bloody rite mind could have thought any different is truly beyond my scope.

They are in complete denial and too proud to admit they just contributed to the biggest blunder in our country's history. Or they are just too stupid to connect the dots. I am convinced that he is the anti christ and has some sort of mind control going on. He could hold a rally and sacrifice an infant for the good of Murica! And I swear to God that people would defend it. I have never seen anything like it.

So again, what's up with this victory tour? Doesn't he have more pressing issues than this self celebratory circle jerk?

The people in complete denial are the media and liberal elite who can't fathom that they were so wrong.

Here is the CNN exit poll on Education, the numbers in parenthesis are rounded up to the nearest whole number:
Education......................... clinton....... trump....... other/no answer
high school or less
18%.........................46%(2034)....... 51%(2254)....... 3%(133)
some college
32%.........................43%(3379)....... 51%(4008)....... 6%(472)
college graduate
32%.........................49%(3851)....... 44%(3458)....... 7%(550)
postgraduate
18%.........................58%(2564)....... 37%(1636)....... 5%(221)
24558 respondents
The only education category that shows a significant departure are those with post graduate degrees but otherwise US citizens with a 4yr degree or less basically are fairly close on how they voted (37.7% of the total - 9263 voted for Clinton, 39.6% - 9720 voted for Trump).

The liberal establishment, and those who are under their mind control (to steal punch's line), need to stop with the attacks on the intelligence of those that disagree with them on how best to move forward in our country.

As for what Trump has done so far, as far as appointments, I'm good. The Carrier move is, imo, a smaller scale of what Baltimore did with Under Armour - Baltimore approves 660 million for Under Armour, I definitely don't like any tweets from him between 12am and 8am.

Let's remember that Hillary Clinton lost to Barack Obama - a progressive, very nearly lost to Bernie Sanders, a self proclaimed socialist, and Donald Trump - a populist. You have to ask yourself, who in the heck could she beat? Maybe if she could find a country that only has people who don't actually work and live where she makes the rules, she could have won.

Punch, What about the 37% of the 18% in the exit polling that have post-graduate degrees and still voted for Trump? are they all mind-controlled zombies too?

(hint the short answer is no)

The left is criticizing DT for keeping jobs in the US, and actually touring and speaking to his supporters in person.

There might be some clues in there as to why they lost. Maybe. Maybe not.

Well, you would know the answer if you had a sufficient educational pedigree.

Seriously, after losing to a populist, the left STILL just doesn't see their own intolerance and elitism. For being so well educated, they can sure be some dumb folks. ... but, hey, just blame it on the old white guys, THAT'S got to be the reason. (... even though DT got more Hispanic and AA votes than the last old white guy).

I honestly think this is what Trump wants to do, he is more into campaigning than actually being president, it's all about stroking his ego.

I won't be surprised to he see him holding regular rallies like this over the next 4 years while Pence actually runs the show. He's already opted out of security briefings, who knows what else he will pass up, probably as much as he can.

He's not a worker, he's a showman who loves to bask in his own self proclaimed glory.

Ugh, no one is upset about people keeping their jobs, it's the false pretenses under which this so called victory is being presented. I'm 100% behind keeping people employed, who the hell would be against that?

He said he was going to stand up to this sort of stuff and punish companies for leaving, instead he's incentivizing them and oh yeah jobs are still leaving.
