Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
In all this talk about O-lineman and starting the best 5.
Ty Nsekhe plays well every time he has had to start. I realize he plays Left Tackle and Trent Williams is the man. But why couldn't try Ty Nsekhe at guard? He has got to be better than Lauvao. Lauvao is terrible. |
The sky isn't falling because the offense can't run the ball in pre season. But again, this team probably isn't going to be a good running team. It's just not what they do best. This is and will be a throw first team. I just hope they'll be able to run it a little better than what we've seen so far.
Oh great .. A pass first team built around a QB we can't or won't sign to a long term contract...we won't win 6 games with this thinking. bottom line is as long as This QB circus goes on this will be a comedy show team. The best RB on team is Matt Jones and he fumbled a few too many times and the Team soured on him..too bad because he will be good on another team. every team in league will tee off on the pass so Cousins better be ready or he will get injured.. |

Never want an injury but I'd prefer Long at LG and Chase at C. Chase hasn't done anything yet but I'm high on him. I think he is our future center. |
Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
For Frenchie,
American announcer pronunciation: "Chase RULE-ee-AIRE!" Actually, we'll probably only hear him mentioned by "Holding. Number 73." |

Niles paul is a good player. I see Jay Gruden's man crush on Ryan Grant raised it's ugly head again. If just knowing all the WR positions without having NFL ability is enough for Gruden, he should just sign Stephen Hawking instead. Hawking could learn the entire playbook in a brief history of time. Then he could be the nominal backup for every position. |

While I understand he CAN run every route and play all WR positions, he consistently does NOT deliver in games! And maybe now with new receivers that can hopefully block more so than Jackson at least, when Grant comes into the game it's not a 98% chance of a running play like the announcers of games used to joke about. |
Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
I think Grant is one of those guys that can push others, because he looks good in practice. But after a few years of not moving up the depth chart he loses that edge. I would be shocked if he is on the team after final cuts.

I think there's something to your thinking there, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he'll be cut. I think Grant pushes others because he performs well in practice. It's really Doctson that will get pushed. But Jay genuinely likes Grant and will definitely keep him around as the 4th guy behind Crowder, Pryor and Doctson. He has the versatility to play the X, the Y, or the slot - not well mind you, but Gruden likes the jack-knife aspect. That's what will help him dress every game day. |

Long way to go before we get there. But we drafted Scherff thinking he'd be our RT, and then Moses really came on in his second year. If Roullier did the same thing next summer it would solve an awful lot for us.
"I would love it because it could mean Long to LG, Roullier to center, and Lauvao to the bench." ...besides Zach Brown starting, based on our current players, this is the next biggest thing I want. Lauvao is not good enough. |

Someone will be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hope we can at least get Davis on the PS. I like big, fast, strong receivers. Hell, I like that at every position lol. |
