Walker announced in the pregame the other night he had made it.
WRONG. Geez. I hope his replacement is going to be a new signing. Vigil has not looked good. When he filled in for Brown against Denver, they ran all over us. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
great eyes! Totally agree, especially the Denver game...folks kept bitching about the dline but vigil was unable to fill the hole. Zach Brown thankfully is that guy! |

All three are listed as centers... and have 1 start at guard combined. Trent can play guard too. However, there must be another move coming. https://www.redskins.com/team/depth-chart |

https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/redskins/2018-redskins-roster-cuts-redskins-cuts-make-53-man-roster
Or you could just post the list to save us all a click: WR Shay Fields LB Jerod Fernandez (First reported by Ben Standig, Sports Capitol DC) WR Dan Williams (Standig) OL Kendall Calhoun TE Matt Flanagan (Standig) TE J.P. Holtz S Quin Blanding LB Casanova McKinzy OT John Kling LB Vontae Diggs (Craig Hoffman, 106.7 The Fan) OL Isaiah Williams (John Keim, ESPN) LB Pete Robertson (Keim) G Kyle Kalis OL T.J. Clemmings (Keim) CB Prince Charles Iowrah (Keim) DL Jo Jo Wicker (Standig) RB De’Veon Smith (Les Carpenter, Washington Post) TE Garrett Hudson (Hoffman) WR Brian Quick (Keim) RB Kapri Bibbs (Ian Rapoport, NFL Media) OL Demetrius Rhaney QB Connor Jessop (Carpenter) DL Phil Taylor (Matthew Paras, Washington Times) ILB Martrell Spaight (Keim) DL Ondre Pipkins QB Kevin Hogan WR Simmie Cobbs WR Darvin Kidsey S Kenny Ladler LB Dadi Nicolas OT Timon Parris DB Ranthony Texada OL Tyler Catalina (injured reserve) DE Stacy McGee (PUP list) CB Josh Holsey (Non-football injury list) DE Dante Sawyer S Fish Smithson A few surprises here, glad to see McGee is gone, idk why Catalina is a name anybody is surprised by considering he was garbage last year, Spaight is a little surprising but hopefully Vigil made it an easy decision, Phil Taylor is a name but haven't really seen anything worthy out of him, Bibbs might be a practice squad candidate and Sims made quick work of Quick. Trade Perine for a backup guard from someone else's roster cuts, or pickup someone else's garbage, and I like it. |
Re: Final Cuts 2018
So our WRs are Doctson, Crowder, PRich, Sims, Quinn, and Harris?
And Bergstrom is our 1st backup G/C? The only real surprise to me is Speight. |
Re: Final Cuts 2018
We got 5 running backs, non of them play special teams.
FU JAY! We needed to keep Quick just incase Doctson doesn't work out. Can we really leave our #1 in there for 3 receptions a game? FU JAY! Don Julio 1942... Thats all we need this fine evening. |

Zach Vigil had a bad preseason. But nobody remembers he played really well when he came in late last year when we had lost hope on the season. Still surprised they cut Spaight: Harvey-Clemons is an hybrid nickel player/linebacker, and Hamilton has not looked good at all. So basically we have only one real back up ILB... Also disappointed they kept Hood over Taylor, he had a good game late against the Broncos. We NEED to bring in interior OL depth... |

How does everyone feel about Hopkins? Especially with Dan Bailey cut by Dallas...

I still like Hopkins on kickoffs but the beyond 50 distance is very iffy. Overall pretty average kicker. Picking up Bailey off waivers would mean taking on his $3.4 M salary plus eating whatever we gave to Hop. Not sure it’s worth it. |
Re: Final Cuts 2018
Per Rich Tandler:
"At a social event last night, Jay Gruden said that RB Byron Marshall is headed to injured reserve with damage to multiple knee ligaments. That solves the mystery of the team keeping five running backs. The reason they didn’t move him straight to IR is that a player must be on the original 53 to be eligible to be one of the two players who can be activated later in the season." |
