Honestly, after the botch tweet, the Panthers were doomed. Gotta love the start of the Matt Rhule era in Carolina.
Why do these links keep wanting to sell me game pass?

How in the world are they managing to pay all these guys? I don't have the numbers, but I feel like they have offered and/or signed multiple players at the top of their respective markets. That has to come back and bite them eventually, right?

They lost 4-5 starters on D now because of Cooper/DAK/ZEKE.

Byron Jones and Quinn will be hard to replace especially Jones.

Jerry is praying that he has the new "triplets" Not gonna happen.

They also just lost their 2nd best Lineman to retirement. Dallas is on the decline

The salary cap is far more flexible than some people think. The first year cap hit of new deals is often a little more than half the average value of the contract. Amari Cooper for instance , his new deal has an average of $20m but the first year hit this year is only $12m...... According to OTC, without having signed Dak, they have only $40m of cap space next year, the Eagles are $20m over the cap next year.... the Redskins? They have over $100m of space :)

Wow. Well ... we should be able to hang onto our young D-Linemen when their second contracts come up ... if we want to.

I thought he already turned down $35 mil a year a while ago. That was just a rumor I heard on the radio, can't remember who said it.

Glad Goodell pushed back against the GMs and said the draft will go on as planned. The process is too long to begin with and we treat these prospects too much like a sacred commodity...they are not. A lot of times after all the workouts and interviews, the coaching staff usually knows by early training camp if this was a mistake or not when someone is selected.

They are still paying top dollar for:

Zeke, Cooper, Martin, Smith, J. Smith, and now possibly Dak. Where are they getting this money from?

Re: Offseason: Around the NFL

Michael Brockers' deal with the Baltimore Ravens fell through over an issue with his ankle, and the free-agent defensive lineman swiftly rejoined the Los Angeles Rams on a similar deal on Friday.

But after the sides failed to reach a new agreement on Friday, Brockers immediately returned to the Rams. He agreed to a three-year deal worth up to a maximum $31.5 million, the NFL Network reported.

This isn't the first time that the Ravens have had a medical problem with a free agent. In March 2018, Baltimore voided a four-year, $29 million agreement with wide receiver Ryan Grant after he failed a physical due to an ankle injury. Grant later signed with the Indianapolis Colts, and Baltimore brought in Michael Crabtree.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28961570/michael-brockers-rejoins-rams-deal-ravens-falls-through

This is becoming a trend with the Ravens, I imagine its Decosta. They really did Grant dirty when they had an agreement, then Crabtree came free and they claimed Grant had an injury and backed out of the deal to sign Crabtree.

They screwed Grant bc he could have found a different team during the legal tampering period but he thought he had a deal.

Then to claim Grant was injured as the plausible deniability lie to back out tarnishes his prospects. A team can "fail" any player they want during a physical claiming ankle this or mild degenerative arthritis that. All players have some injury a team can point to if they want to be dicks.

Orioles do this and FA are legit worried about even agreeing to deals bc then the Os find some health reasons and try to renegotiate down the agreed upon deal.

if the player is "injured" and the Ravens are so worried abut it .. why the fuck are the Ravens trying to renegotiate and still sign that player?

dirty birds.
