G1 .. you know I love ya but this is going to be frenemy week it seems.
Who would have thought pre season wed be playoff eligible teams over .500? I am really really pumped up for this game. Might be a mandatory jersey day on sunday in my household .. havent had one of those in a long time. Re: Vagiants Pre Game Thread Sunday 1 pm
I can feel the love but in honesty I picked a 7-8 win season so I'm happy. Schoen (the GM) and Daboll have done more then I could have hoped for and at no time did I think about playoffs and still aren't. We had no cap space and they did an amazing job, I really do like Jones and he has proven to me he can play it's his health I worry about , we were spoiled by Eli. If the Giants can win 9 games playoffs or not it's a great winning season and we haven't had one of those in 10 years. I know a few might not remember but I said before I liked Heinicke and could not understand signing of Wentz. As corny as it sounds I want a good game we're getting 5-7 people back off of injury so I have hope but it's injuries I worry about .
Concerned about the WAS injury report -- BSJ still not practicing, and Gibson didn't practice today either. We need both of those guys.

BSJ is the biggest concern IMO, since we have a 7th round rookie replacing him. I think Gibson is an added bonus, but B. Rob is a beast, and J. Williams ran very well last week. For such an important game though, you want to have those two playing though. |
Re: Vagiants Pre Game Thread Sunday 1 pm
Gibson is valuable when we are down, so it's ideal to have him in this game.

About to look at mock drafts out of boredom. But damn it's nice being in December and not really thinking about the draft. By now, I'd have usually created a [Insert Next Year] draft thread.
Rivera pulled a rabbit out of a hat. A win this Sunday would be awesome. 8-5 going into the bye would be phenomenal. |
Re: Vagiants Pre Game Thread Sunday 1 pm
One player that will make a difference as the season progresses, even if he has made a couple of bonehead plays, John Ridgeway. I was pissed we lost Settle and Ioannidis, but the vanilla gorilla has soften the blow. The more he plays, he let's Allen and Payne rest making them more efficient, sometimes they go 5 DL and he's like a wall. I can't wait to see how he develops, he's also been responsible for the D turn around, even if he cost us the Vikings game.

1. LOL 2. That game was lost as soon as Heinicke threw the backfoot interception. Everyone else, including Ridgeway, were just actors in a pre-determined play at that point (I was livid at the time, but we lost on that interception imo). |
Re: Vagiants Pre Game Thread Sunday 1 pm
vikings game could have flipped on a bunch of different plays, I think the INT was when it felt like we had just thrown it away; lost the momentum.

Agreed he's a nice surprise. And I'm not mad at him for the 2 stupid flags: -the first one is on the coaching more than anything IMO. That useless stunt in that situation is asking for trouble. -the second one is stupid but he's a rookie and it kinda happened naturally with the way the runner was stuck in his stomach, and that was still an amazing agressive play, TFL with an Oliman on him.
