He might be OK with franchising Payne, which is only a one year deal. It's big money for one year but it's not $100M. I think that's what Ron and Martin will want to do anyway. But it's entirely possible Dan cheaps out even on that.

I concur with everyone. Ill go 0-17 next year and he can cheap out on whomever he would like as long as he is gone forever. Still cannot believe this is the conversation. A very little while ago I just assumed he was around for as long as I was.

I'm with Schneed - Snyder selling is the cherry on top of this offseason sundae. I'll take another noncompetitive season if it means he's out.

Its the cherry, the sundae, the sundae machine, the kitchen, the restaurant, and the whole freakin building ! The cherry on top of it would be for the sale to happen in time for Ron to be fired and for the new regime to be in place before March. But that's not happening and it doesn't matter, we'll have more cherries from now on than we ever got with Snyder at the realm.

I would not give Payne a huge deal. He's only been a major beast this past year. You don't pay for 1 good year out of 5. You either let him walk or your FT and see if he can repeat it.

Yeah, until that purchasing contract is actually signed and official, I ain't getting too excited. Even if a sale is announced, I don't trust Snyder, until that shit is 100% officially completed.
