People can choose that reaction or look at the facts.

This country has a problem. What’s not the problem is Tax Revenue. Those levels pre and post trump administration have steady increased meaning no affect in federal collection and spurred business growth. The problem *this is a GOP and Democrat owned problem* non defense federal spending has risen since 2001-2002 but was buoyed by 2008-09 recession and the pandemic to around 18.5% yearly. With rising interest rates, this is where we need to tighten the belt, it’s can’t continue. If we could bring that down from 18.5 to 13 percent we could do everything we dreamed of. Pay the deficit off, could triple the child tax credit, massively lower income taxes, healthcare, etc.

Thanks but I'm dealing with this first hand on the ground level and I can assure you the chaos and confusion with medicaid was real, even if it was just for a few hours you can't fuck around with people's health care.

Sadly this is the response you get from the ignorant trump supporter's. Ignoring the facts that his "tax cuts" are a big reason for the deficit. The man was elected by the common voter but has surrounded himself with Billionaires for self gratification .Who are destroying this Country in a week.

Yes I'm sure they just wanted to fuck with people so they shut it down on purpose. That's how its being spun but no one has given any evidence it was intentional. And by the way no payment were missed.

If I was eligible, I'd probably take that offer as the Mrs. wants to hit the road and start the retirement plans, but national security, immigration and postal civilians are not eligible.
It’s not the really the numbers because politically whatever amount he sends back to their shitholes, liberals will say it’s not enough or he didn’t do what he said.
Why would liberals care about deportation numbers not being enough? I thought they wanted open borders so the less numbers the better right?
But ice is now back on the job, the southern border is back up and running with policies back which Trump previously saw the lowest numbers in 35 years his first term.

Things will improve as they did previously on illegal immigration under Trump.
But ICE has always been back on the job. Biden deported more people in his 4 years than Trump did in his first four. That couldn't be possible unless ICE was doing its job. Right? Now if you want to say Trump was better on the border than Biden, then sure, that's a fair statement and probably an accurate one (despite the deportation numbers).

Also, that lowest numbers in 35 years you speak of? You know what that's from right? It's from a hawkish 8 years of Obama on immigration. You do realize that Obama has deported more people from America than ANY other President in history. So much in fact, he garnered the nickname of Deporter in Chief. In fact, Trump's border czar once worked under Obama.

A good read.
Look, you can already see city/state budgets such as all of California, Denver, Chicago, New York City and Fairfax County Va suffering from the millions they spent previous years on housing, education, medical, etc. from taking care of illegals. Don’t expect the federal government to bail them out.

Those citizens will suffer, many in minority communities from services cut and higher taxes….like always. So they can enjoy what they voted for.
You are right about this aspect. Even in Chicago, residents pushed back against the Mayor on this very subject.

That said, the shit we're seeing today from the administration on immigration isn't serious. It's theatrics. They have Kristi Noem out there cosplaying as a ICE agent like she's going to be kicking doors in. I mean they telling these forces to "dress for the cameras". It's all a smoke and mirrors act to make it look like he's doing something. ICE raids with Dr. Phil? That isn't serious man.

Imagine going to Reddit to complain

We had folks resign when they were made to return to office, the offer is intended to push those who don’t want to return to the office out the door.

The entitlement shown by a lot of employees to not want to come back to the office…cutting those from the firm was a big win from my experience. And it not just low level employees or kids, lots of management left and so called untouchables.

It’s true the amount of wasted taxpayers money on office space in DC is unacceptable. Something got to give.

The fact you think all these employees work in DC amplifies your ignorance on the subject. Have you given any thought that employees who work from home save the Government money? What am I saying, of course you haven't.

"AI nurses" as "good as any doctor": RFK Jr. confirms he wants to take away people's health care

https://news.yahoo.com/news/ai-nurses-good-doctor-rfk-110006607.html

Kennedy has spent decades as an anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist, and his training as a B.S. artist was on full display at Wednesday's hearing. He waxes poetic about the importance of "prevention." to the point where even those of us who know he's full of it can get sucked in, at least until we remember that he rejects the single most important form of preventive care ever developed. (Vaccines, duh.) But as the hearing went on, it became clear that "prevention" was just an RFK code word for victim-blaming.

When asked how he would implement "prevention" for Medicare and Medicaid patients, Kennedy replied that it was about "making them accountable for their own health care, so they understand the relationship between eating and getting sick." He argued that people on food assistance should have their options reduced so they can't buy processed foods. That's designed to sound vaguely positive while doing nothing to help people. No living person believes that Oreos are better for you than apples. Lecturing them about it and restricting their food budget will do nothing to reduce their medical costs, but it does creates an excuse to deny health care by claiming that they made themselves sick.

When Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., asked whether health care is a right, Kennedy got closer to showing his true colors by refusing to answer the question.

So this idiot is trying to blame DEI hires and Biden for this crash. SPOILER ALERT: the pilots were white

Meanwhile, what has he done since inauguration:

1. Fire the head of the TSA, and the Aviation Security Advisory Committee.

2. Freeze hiring of all Air Traffic Controllers.

3. Fire 100 top FAA security officers.

Not to mention Elon making the FAA chief resign. Fucking ELON Musk is running our god damn country folks.

My Girls are all grown with Families of their own but when they were teens there was a group they all hung out with . We found out at 5:00 am this morning that one of the young men was on that plane. He was at my Daughters Wedding I remember him in this house more then once. I could not watch trump disgrace them . He lived just miles from where the plane crashed.
