Re: Do you support Gibbs' decision to start Brunell?
I just watch Ramsey miss Recievers all perseason. Nine points in a game is not going to get it done. So why are we so bad on the O side of the ball???? Nine line,Good backs and pretty good WR and TE. So is it Bad QB's, Play calling or just the way we are going about attacking D's? Ramsey had his chance all perseason with the first O and now I think Burnell should get his to see if it can get better. You never know Burnell could be our D.Williams!!!! :cheers
No, he's Mark! As in our Mark Rypien!

Well, the last guy to play QB for us that was named Mark led us to the Superbowl, ya know?! But then again, the last QB to where number 11 won us a Superbowl so take yer pick. :D

There is no good QB choice for the skins now. PR does not have 'it' and MB has pretty much lost 'it'. As for the rookie, rookies just are not successful in this league.

As TK says in today's WP. "welcome to last year."

Hell No

At this point, I'm actually hoping, in a dark corner of my brain, that Brunell gets hurt.

Yes ... Gibbs is the coach of this team and I'll stand by him - come Good or Bad.

Absolutely not. It's one of the worst decisions he's made in his coaching career. Feel this will come back to haunt the team for a long, long time.

YES

Brunell has shown poise and accuracy (this year).
Ramsey has shown that he's still a work-in-progress in his fourth year.
Gibbs wants to win now.

Re: Do you support Gibbs' decision to start Brunell?

NO!

Everyone who listened to the TV commentators heard them going on and on about the poise of Kyle Orton. How he didn't get down on himself if he made a mistake. He wou8ld just get back in the saddle and let fly downfield again. They suggested that this was aGOOD thing. Ramsey doesn't have to question himself after a turn-over, the coach PULLED him. ONE INT. ONE. Let me say it again: ONE.
We were all witnesses the Murder of a QBs confidence. He's not looking over his shoulder then next time he plays, he's spun all the way around BACKWARD.

Save him! Trade him.
PLEASE

I just want to win games. If Brunell gives us that chance then Im all for it. IF Ramsey does, Im all for it. I will believe that Gibbs knows Best. He gets a lot of faith from me because unlike Spurrier he wont just yank a QB, to say he yanked a QB.

Maybe we should have kept Trent Green.

Re: Do you support Gibbs' decision to start Brunell?

I don't support it.

Ramsey fumbled twice and threw an int. He also threw for 105 yards and a TD ( that was a garbage call, and in no way negates what PR did in my eyes) in a quarter and some change. To talk about his negatives and ignore his positives just doesn't make sense to me. Sell yourselves on Brunell all you want, I just don't see him being as good for the team as Ramsey. I hope I'm wrong.

State of the Skins Nation...as a Fan

I am confilicted as to what I think. I think PR gives us the best opportunity for the big play; he also gives us the biggest opportunity for turnovers. I do believe MB will manage a better game; but it scares the hell out of me when he says after the game "Tell Coach Gibbs I need to warm up before I throw the longball". I think MB is playing better this year, and we have a much better overall team this year, particularly on special teams (with the exception of Brown).

The bottomline is right now we are a mess at QB period. The debate is usless; what is better measels or mumps as far as I am concerned. I can't remember Gibbs ever saying anything close to what he said at his press conference- something to the effect of "I am just looking for one of the quarterbacks to step up and take controll of the offense". He said it three times and sounded desperate. That is what scares me more than anything.

However over all I think the offense looked a little better than last year. enough?...don't know, but wee have to get in to the endzone.

That was the bad. There is plenty of good. I cant remember when the last time we had such consistant good coverage on teams. It seams to have picked up from the end of last year and progressed nicley.

No false starts, delay of game penalties or silly wasted timeouts. That in it's self is a huge improvement.

Defesnively we look stout again, I know the Bears have a horrid offense but good teams do what we did to bad teams, shut them down.

The Fed all of a sudden became a hard place to play? Where did that come from? Nothing that happened since Gibbs came back has made me as proud of the Skins as that series where the crowd steped up. That says to me as a city we are starting to believe.

So where does that put us? We are a 2/3rds of a good, good team. Mark or Pat? Coach you decide and I have to support it. Dallas and NYG looked much better than last year and Philly lost to a good team, does that mean we are relegated to the basement in the east? No. Anything can happen. the Eagles are 0 - 1 could only rush for 51 yards and gave up 200 on the ground. Dallas gave up 4 yards a carry. The Giants only had the ball for 24:15 and Eli was 10/23 with 2 ints. All of those play into Skins strengths.

Which brings me to my point: I am very nervous about our offense but I believe we as much heart and intesinal fortitude as any team in the league. If we have improved enough overall on offense to win tight ballgames instead of lose them, only time will tell. So as a fan I am left with one choice: Believe in our teams plan or be miserable second guessing every decision. I will chose to believe in our team. I chose to believe they will play to the best of their ability from head coach to the practice squad guys. I will chose to believe through hard work and effort we will do better than anyone expects us to do and as a fan I will support them as such. As a fan that is all I can do

I've asked this a few times but I don't think I've seen a clear answer.

What exactly has Ramsey done to deserve to be the unquestioned starter??

Why are people soooo emotionally attached to this guy??

It has to be an emotional attachment, that's the only way I can see why people are so supportive of a QB who's been so inconsistent. It has to be an emotional attachment when people are so eager to overlook his interceptions and inconsistent play.

I don't get it. Ramsey doesn't look like the answer right now, and in all likelihood Brunell is just a stopgap until Campbell is hopefully ready to take the job next year. But people are acting like we're benching Manning or Favre. We're benching a young QB who hasn't proven anything except that he's still an inconsistent QB that makes too many mental errors.

Re: Do you support Gibbs' decision to start Brunell?
Yes, but I really believe that Gibbs is trying to drive the point home to Ramsey that he cannot turn the ball over. I believe we will see Ramsey again.
I'll second this one. He is sending a message and maybe the "kid" will only get it through his thick head if he is benched.
