Re: (MERGED THREADS) LaVar Arrington and Gregg Williams
Lavar on the bench is really know surprise, he was the most overated player in football, except now everyone knows it.
Lavar doesn't know why he's not playing? Just like he doesn't know how to follow direction when he's on the field. I find it laughable that everyone will follow Gibbs blindly regardless of how irrational some of his decisions may look, yet question over and over again why Lavar isn't on the field, he's an overhyped media darling who's football instinkts are horrible, he's not a LB who can overpower a TE or OL on a pass rush ala LT, so how much difference will he really make? The LB's we have now can get to the QB if their given a clean shot at the QB. Bottom line take a look at the track record's of the people who all concur on Lavar, William's, Lewis, and Paterno, they all have said the same thing's about Lavar, and I am sure they were being kind in their assesments for public consumption. |
Re: (MERGED THREADS) LaVar Arrington and Gregg Williams
Arrington's "instinkts" are about as bad as your spelling, LOL

Pure athleticism will get you by in college and most of the time in the pros. It's not enough to get by with Williams obviously.

If he was only as bad as my spelling we wouldn't be having this conversation! |
Re: (MERGED THREADS) LaVar Arrington and Gregg Williams
So, are you objecting to the opinion I expressed or are you just "offended" by my use of "****"? BTW - what word did you think I was alluding to? If you assumed it was a word that rhymes with "luck" you assumed incorrectly.
But, that's not really the point. I'd welcome your thoughts on the opinions I actually expressed. |

Re: (MERGED THREADS) LaVar Arrington and Gregg Williams
And I'm tired of hearing the lame excuses that we get each week. Do they really think the fans are so ignorant as to believe the **** that they are feeding us as to why he isn't playing?
Well, if the stupid media would stop asking the same questions about Lavar week in and week out, you wouldn't have to hear the "excuses." |

OK, truce. I haven't read this thread all the way through so, what are your thoughts about keeping LA on the bench or letting him play? If you had asked me a year ago if I thought we Skins fans would ever even be asking this question, I'd have said you were crazy. |

Until they (and we) get an answer that makes sense or bears some resemblence to the truth, the questions will keep coming. It's not as if Lavar is some two-bit player or a throw-away from another team. He's one of the most physical players we have and that type of play is sorely needed right now on the Defense. |
Re: (MERGED THREADS) LaVar Arrington and Gregg Williams
I'm sorry, but Lavar isn't going to fix the problem with injuries in our secondary. I would like to see Lavar playing just to settle the argument, but before we go saying the coaches are lying to us, I suggest we get a pass to attend practices and team meetings, etc....

I'll comment more in a new post. |
Re: (MERGED THREADS) LaVar Arrington and Gregg Williams
Coaches know more than us....everyone wanted Gibbs head when he benched Ramsey. We don't know whats going on behind closed doors so we shouldn't be saying we know more than the coaches....we also shouldn't be saying that they don't know how to coach.
