I'll even correct myself....I thought I heard someone say Arizona had the best offense. However looking at NFL.COM Arizona is not even on any of the boards as far as top passing, or rushing. So I apologize. Perhaps they were refering to last yr.
Wow, 28 people who come to this sight and talk skins football could bring themself to pick the Cowboys. Ok, maybe its a little less because we do have a few fans from other teams. I couldn't pick the Cowboys even if our entire line of starters where out due to injury. How do you talk smack while picking the other team to win?
So let's change the Poll to "Who will win Redskins or Redskins" or change the question to "Do you want the Redskins to win" I am sure everyone (well except the obvious) would choose yes than.
Predicting a Skins loss is not the end of being a fan, it's just gut-wrenching.

i like the prediction thread and im not just saying that because i was right last week. yeah discussions on here can get alil reptitive and cyclical but if thats what people want to talk about so be it.

by friday everything that needed to be said was said by wednesday so at this time in the week every thread is beating a dead horse waiting till the next game is played to start a whole new series of threads that will turn into a beaten dead horse by friday.

rinse, wash repeat.

Have to agree Matty. I hate dem Boys, but IMHO I see a close Boy win over us. That doesn't mean I don't love my Skins, just not sure they are going to win as some other folks. And those other folks get nailed if their prediction is for a Skins romp, equally bad. To me the winner is going to be the team that really gets the running game going and we let James run crazy last weekend.
Sure sure. This is DALLAS WEEK. If you can't get excited and have faith that we'll beat them, Chief Zee should whack you with his hatchet.

Being a Redskins fan means HATING DALLAS. Sorry if you missed the memo.

This week is about passion for the Redskins, not looking at polls and articles and making an "informed" pick about the outcome. This matchup always throws all stats and records out the window when it happens. We beat them when they're proclaimed better and it's happened to us too, remember who the 1-15 Dallas team had their only win against? 19 years later and that one still hurts.

It's Redskins or nothing this week (if you're a real fan).
This is a pathetic post. Did I ever say I didn't hate Dallas? If I don't have belief that we'll beat Dallas no matter what then I'm not a "real fan?" :doh:Sigh. And here I thought this website for "knowledgeable" fans. Oh well. I guess a few slip through the cracks.

This thread is about making informed picks about the outcome of our games. I'm pretty darn sure that was Matty's intention when he began these weekly threads week 1. The purpose wasn't for the entire site to pick the Skins regardless of the opponent.

This is a "predict the winner and why" thread. Not a "who do you want to win" thread.

Funny how those of us "traitors" who have a far more developed sense of football reality than you and the other blind homers are in your eyes not "real" fans. I find that ironic and funny.

I think it's unfortunate we have to end a long-term tradition because of the Busters of the world. I can't bring myself to pick against the Redskins personally (even though I can't outline all the reasons they could lose), but there's nothing to gain from saying "oh you're not a real fan because you picked the 3-0 Cowboys to win at home"

I say reconsider keeping the poll going and tell Buster (and those of his ilk) not to bother responding in the thread if all they're going to do is say "you're a traitor and not a real fan" and if he can't do that, just ban him. Enough of this shit. Why should the rest of us have to suffer so he can have his fun. He's not more important than the value this thread can bring to the site each game week.

I just started, and did get caught up in it. But I really like it, because it lets you know what the feel of the fans really is. if this poll had Cowboys at 60-70, then you know there are some issues, but its good to see how see how strong the consensus is.

I agree. Funny how I've been a member of this site for over 2 years, have put time into nearly 3,000 posts, yet I'm not a "real" fan. That type of ignorance bogs this great forum down.

Your last sentence is really the crux of the whole thing. These prediction threads during the regular season not only offer a poll, but are amongst the most posted on threads in this place. They add a ton, and two or three people throwing around their "traitor" comments are better off elsewhere.

Here's to the good of the site, not the dumb opinions of the few.

Remember that Romo usually doesn't see coverage as good as we have. Dallas knows they can beat us if they run the ball at us, but if they come out and try to throw early, I think it could work in our favor.

Thanks to halftime adjustments, no scheme is going to be strong enough to hold them off the whole game, but if we can just make they play from behind, we really do have a chance to win. If we ever get behind by more than a Touchdown, we will probably be out of it.

This game could go all the way to the wire and end in a 1-3 point spread.

Or it could be over by halftime with the home team up by 30.

Neither scenario would surprise me actually.

I agree. For what it's worth, I'm one of those "traitors" this week. Of course, the likelihood of going 19-0 is slim (though I hope and cheer for it). I don't like the score only posts but rather a few reasons why or what people think needs to happen for their prediction to come true.

EX. Skins win 24-20 if we can force at least two TO's or I think Pokes win a close one unless the front four can get pressure and disrupt Barber before he gets out of the backfield.

Of course, that's just my personal preference.

Given the way Arizona and New York ran all over us, I expect to see heavy doses of Marion Barber early and often, with some deep posts (exploiting Doughty) to TO thrown in the mix.

Barber and Jones could be a killer combination. I just don't see us being able to handle their running game without letting TO loose a few times to potentially burn us. I did not like how we let Edgerrin James run all over us. I just see Dallas as just too balanced offensively for us to handle.
Rain check on my prediction. We need to dominate all 4 quarters of football. No team has yet to do that to the cowboys this season. Time of possession and no turnovers is key in this game. Blache needs to brew up the greatest defensive game plan ever for us to win this game. And our Offense needs to play a turnover free game. Romo must eat turf early and often. I'm to superstitious to make a prediction this week.
Dallas has yet to play 4qtrs also. That's the only way they will win this game. If they play mistake free football, I'll say the score will be............Cowboys 31 - Redskins 17.

Now if Dallas keeps getting those stupid, bonehead penalties and if they don't protect the ball, like they are capable of doing, then who knows.
