Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
im saying trade him for a 7th if his fat ass doesnt want to be here. i get really sick of players who make 21 milion cry in times like these. If he mans up and doesnt pull his ass muscle too many times this year let him stay. id rather have an average player that plays his heart out every play consistantly, than a player that is a super star that only gives his team 1 out of every 10 plays
link to him crying? link to his poor stats? |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
Sooooo....last chance to trade JC for a third? :(

Still he never explained where he saw the sack. I guess he goes to Hillsdale and watches the team practice. Otherwise why are you watching Hillsdale in the first place? |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.

nobody has bitten yet on bruce campbell, somewhat surprising |

well.. it's in Michigan, where Tripp is and the kid is from grand rapids.. went to HS there, which may be where Tripp saw him |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
Speaking of Tripp where is he? I want to play McShay to his Mel Kiper and give him crap for his favorite QB prospect falling a round later then he was projected to go, even though I kind of like him as a prospect.
well.. it's in Michigan, where Tripp is and the kid is from grand rapids.. went to HS there, which may be where Tripp saw him
I thought he was Michigan. Wonder if the high school theory you proposed there is true. Would certainly explain the sig. |

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
Keep on drafting those DB's NFL and pushing those big uglies down to us in the fourth round.
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
look at all of these "no-name" OTs that've gone already.. did Bruce Campbell break his ankle this morning or something?
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
walter payton has a pretty good looking daughter
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
I'm soo pissed that NE got Spikes...I was hoping he'd be in a skins uniform...
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
17 DB's drafted so far. That's ridiculous. These guys can't be this good.
|

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
So if Bruce Campbell falls to us in the 4th round, do we take him?
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
what about navorro bowman? I hear about a lot of off of the field incidents.. but that for the past year or so he's been pretty good?
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
13 O-Lineman drafted compared to 17 DB's.
Not for us of course. |
So if Bruce Campbell falls to us in the 4th round, do we take him?
hells to the f'n yes dude...SOLID! a workout warrior, some had him projected in the friggin first round! |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
So if Bruce Campbell falls to us in the 4th round, do we take him?
Hell yeah we do. Only way to salvage this draft, but that is if he is still available. My question is where is the change from the previous "regime" or way of doing things? WE gave up a 2nd for a QB that is great, but is not our franchise guy, a 5th for oft an injured FA defensive linemen, and we are stuck with a disgruntled DT and a QB nobody seems to want at the moment. We were better off resigning JC and keeping the picks for another OL and a LB. I really hope that Allen has a real plan in place and not going to only rely on hand me down FAs for his tenure here. The only difference thus far between the old and new regimes is that the new FO is smart not to sign huge ass contracts for these castoffs. I was hoping for a more fundamental change in tact. THe win now philosophy is good when you have some depth and a decent amount of talent, but we have neither depth or a huge talent pool outside of our stable of RBs and QBs. |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
why has campbell fallen so far? and can he play right tackle?
|
why has campbell fallen so far? and can he play right tackle?
Teams are mistaking him for Jason Campbell. |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
So if Bruce Campbell falls to us in the 4th round, do we take him?
I think we have to. He gives us good value and will be motivated by all of the teams that passed on him earlier. If we get him, it's a good chance he's our opening day RT |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
why has campbell fallen so far? and can he play right tackle?
who knows...but i highly doubt that he'll fall to us |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
hells to the f'n yes dude...SOLID!
a workout warrior, some had him projected in the friggin first round!
apparently all of this is what's holding him back
"It's the mental that will get him," said one personnel director who has been in interviews with Campbell. "When he's talking he's not a quick thinker. He's a slow process, a very slow process guy. Somebody will have to tell him what to do all the time." Another evaluator said Campbell had a "neurological slowness that's extremely scary." At the combine, Campbell said he grew up in the "ghettos" of New Haven, Conn. After spending 2006 at Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy, he was able to enroll at Maryland. The Terps' coaching staff took its time with Campbell, playing him in just five games in 2007 and starting him only after another player was injured in mid-2008. Campbell's incredible workout was the talk of the combine. One scout, however, labeled that as "inconsequential" when compared to what he described as Campbell's "awful" play on tape and the 15-minute interviews he did with team after team in Indianapolis. "He might be the most phenomenal physical specimen I've ever seen," one longtime scout said. "But he can't conceptualize."
Al Davis: Buyer Beware, Bruce Campbell - CBSSports.com Message Boards 4th round RT possibility? sure why not? |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
If we can grab Joe McKnight in the 4th, I think we'd have that explosive game-changer in the backfield.
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
I keep waiting for his name to pop up but hoping he drops to us.
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
WOW good call on Joe McKnight

I wouldn't mind that move.. I mean having Portis, Parker, AND Johnson.. not to mention Alridge seems like we're set at RB, but youth aside from Alridge and Torain would be okay.. not expecting it but who knows.. pretty much guaranteed a roster spot if we pick him though |
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
McCoy to the Browns
|
Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.
right after the Bengals pick Shipley nonetheless
