re: Bin Laden Killed
Yeah, as they were roping down from the bird it actually had to land inside the compound instead of dropping them off.

re: Bin Laden Killed
Just because they say the dumped his body at sea doesnt mean they really did.
I would not be surprised to know he's in a refrigerator at Ramstien Air Force base right now. |
I think they want to great lengths (too far in my opinion) to honor the muslim law to bury the dead within 24 hours. And they buried him at sea as not make his grave site a shrine or pilgrimage of sorts.
Personally, I think, to honor him, they should have given him a good christian burial with a full mass. I kid. I kid. I am sure they have proof out the ass. Also, a quick burial at sea gets rid of any debate about "what should we do with the body?" - which could've gotten ugly. No matter what they did with it, there would be "It's not really OBL" conspiracies. It's gone and there is no burial site. I am good with that. |

I also think they went too far. I mean if you respect the fact that's he is a Muslim and bury him in accordance to Muslim law then youre essentially grouping all Muslims together with Osama. Osama may have thought he was caring out the Muslim ideology, but most Muslims completely disagree with his actions. He was not a Muslim in my opinion, he was a extremists nutbag plain and simple. And if I were a Muslim I would be offended that he was treated and acknowledged as one. Oh yeah. My favorite is that I heard they took his body to area 51, in order to test whether the alien parasites stored there can make him appear alive in order to confess to the shooting of JFK in a past life. |
re: Bin Laden Killed
I hope this works because last time I tried to post a pic it must have been a link and I got banned from the site. So for the moderators if this comes as another link it was done in error and should actually be a pic of OBL.

re: Bin Laden Killed
Desecration of his body serves no purpose. I am glad they did the right thing and buried him.
|

I rarely read opinion pieces, but this one is pretty right on..... in my opinion. Also ill add a number 6 to the list:

Completely 100% agree. But to say it was in accordence with Muslim law i think was wrong. |
re: Bin Laden Killed
Why not capture him and bleed him for information?

Yup......I read he was asked to surrender and refused, so he was shot in the head. So why not shoot him somewhere else and capture him. There were'nt that many other bad guys around and by the sound of it Bin Laden was the last to die. |

That pic is an obvious fake and has already been proven as such.

lol how great would that have been if he did that for real? |
re: Bin Laden Killed
So is there a "Official" pic of him dead?
I beleive he is dead and the US killed him. But the way this went down it has left the door open with a lot of questions. It is like a real bad ending to a Vince Flynn novel. Mitch Rapp: I killed OBL, America is saved! Irene Kennedy : Where is the body Mitch? MR: I threw it in the ocean! IK:Why? MR: To give him proper burial! IK: Oooook! Hmmmm... So you are sure you killed him? MR: What you don't beleive me? Fine forget it! IK: No I am not saying that! Just seems odd you wouldn't have proof... |

I know. Just showing how easy and quickly people can photo shop a pic. It was a good job done by all. The CIA, Special Forces and yes Obama. |

But if you don't say that his fans who believe themselves to be Muslims will assume his body was desecrated. You don't want rumors flying around about how the Americans chopped him up and fed him to the sharks. There is no need to add more fuel to the fire even if you don't think he is a Muslim (I don't think he is)....this is not a debate I want to have right now nor should the U.S. |

Ever the weasels many GOP "leaders" are praising Bush/CIA/SpecialOps while side stepping mentioning Obama who unlike Bush actually accomplished what he promised to do. Give him his god damn props and move along.
What a sad and transparent bunch. |

I'm reading the statements they released right after the news. I haven't watched TV so maybe they changed their tune. The fact of the matter is a lot of them are downplaying Obama's role as if he was merely a figure head not the commander in chief. |
re: Bin Laden Killed
In your link, under Boehner's picture his quote directly praises Pres. Obama.
Eric Cantor (D) (slide 9 from Saden's link) I commend President Obama who has followed the vigilance of President Bush in bringing Bin Laden to justice. John Boehner (R) (slide 5 from Saden's link) I also want to commend President Obama and his team, as well as President Bush, for all of their efforts to bring Osama bin Laden to justice.
Anyway, unfortunately, I am sure many politicos will end up politicizing what should be recognized as an excellent example of US pursuit of an enemy throughout competing administrations, and a demonstration of the strength and resilience of US society. Me, I just wanna stick to conspiracies, they are more fun anyway ;) |
re: Bin Laden Killed
There were a few that went out of their way to not mention President Obama in their congrats or gave credit to Bush, if you can believe that.
Anyway, who cares - this a great day for America. The hundreds of families who lost loved ones in 9/11 can finally close this horrible chapter and move on as best as they can. I'm mostly happy for them - and if only for a mili-second America feels truly united today. |
re: Bin Laden Killed
On a more lighthearted note, I wonder if Trump wants to see the death certificate.

I had no clue this went down until this morning. I watched CNN, Fox, the local 3 ch and MSNBC. Everyone I saw interviewed or spoke on the issue gave Obama credit. I only heard one person that said he thought Obama did a good job carring on Bush's policies (something to that affect). |

That was done to prevent the killing of innocent people because it was in the middle of town. I think we really need to question our relationship with Pakistan. |

Regardless, it was in fact the right decision, and good leadership. |
