So here's the most fascinating thing about this rumor: Gruden was incredibly critical of Sam Bradford during the Monday night game two weeks ago, so far to the point where he irritated Jaws with his criticism. He also suggested that RG3 could be a St. Louis Ram. During the broadcast.
Interesting. I'll have to ask my former colleagues about that. If anyone is willing to take Tebow from Elway it's Gruden. He loves him. More than the usual love he heaps on people. Tebow and some picks for the no. 1 overall and the Broncos get Luck? Just speculating. Gruden would also be the type to want someone like a Rex Grossman. He's into the whole middle of the road veteran QB thing. Seems like only yesterday Spags and Raheem Morris were the hotshot coordinators turned head coaches, Bradford was the stud no. 1 franchise QB and Colt McCoy was the "all he does is win" QB...and now they may all be looking for employment elsewhere. Shows how fickle the NFL is I suppose |

If they do try to acquire him I see multiple picks or at least a 2nd rounder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Multiple 3rds perhaps. With one being a 4th with conditions to move up to a 3rd. Or if it's at least one 2nd you could get a 4th or 5th in return. I don't know of any team, including the Redskins, that has Sanchez as a "must have" on their QB list. But he'll be considered by a few teams, including the Redskins, should he become available. |

Supposedly in this article, Ryan specifically says: "I've said from Day One I thought he was the best quarterback in the National Football League, I even put him over Tom Brady, so of course I recognize Peyton Manning is an unbelievable quarterback," Ryan said during the ESPN 1050 interview, per the report. "But do I think it's even a consideration for us? No, I don't." Eh.. who knows... maybe he's trying to be the next Mike Shanahan (as far as giving out honest information). lol |

I don't really like any of the top qbs in this draft, so getting a decent veteran isn't a horrible idea IMO. Barkley is the guy I want long-term. That's gonna be tough though. He'll likely be the #1 overall pick in 2013. |

If I'm the Redskins, I trade a 3rd for Sanchez, spend my first rounder on Justin Blackmon, then sit back and pop the bubbly.

I don't know how I feel about Sanchez coming to Washington. Last year, I would have said YES, but after this season, eh?
This much I know. If we get him, let's still draft a quarterback. |
Who do you spend the 2nd on?
A draft pick. Maybe a cornerback if Hall leaves. Maybe an o-lineman. Maybe even a qb if a good one is still available, like Tannehill. |

I keep hearing and reading that the jags may want to let the Colts win, just so that they don't have to see Andrew Luck in their division.

So Sanchez can complete 4 of 24 attempts longer than 20 yards to Blackmon? NO THANKS. I don't want any parts of Sanchez in DC. I posted this idea a couple of pages ago in this thread and didn't get any feed back on it. What about this? The way Indy is playing they will beat Jacksonville this week. You know St. Louis will lose to San Fran. If Minnesota loses to Chicago then St Louis has the #1. That means they could trade us the #1 for Andrew Luck OR trade us Bradford and draft Luck themselves. Some people on here are not very high on Bradford but look at the crap he has had for an offense in St. Louis. I would take him over Sanchez any day. Ideally, I would like to: 1) swap this years 1st, give up a future 1st and 2nd for the #1 and get Luck. 2) trade for Bradford somehow. 3) DON'T trade for Sanchez. |

0% chance. It's based off the contract amount they sign with another team. The Raiders got a 3rd rounder for NA so no way we'll get anything remotely close seeing as he signed a 1 year 4mil deal. |

Normally you'll never hear me say this, but I can't wait until this weekend of football is over. Then we'll really know who the team picking #1 in the April draft is going to be, and we'll go nuts for the next few months determining how the trades and picks are going to go...lol!

its about how many FA's you lose vs how many you sign (not re-sign ala grossman) primarily, then contract details etc. we signed bowen, OA, and cofield (all big contracts), we lost rogers... we're +2, so it's doubtful we'll get much of anything this year. |

I'll take Bradford over Sanchez but I don't think the gap between the two is as large as most believe, but the asking price would be
It's a pretty small gap, but I think they both profile as no. 2 QBs in the 2012 season. It would be great if we could acquire a 25 or 26 year old QB with 2 or 3 years experience as a starter on your bench in case you needed to bring someone in cold and win a big NFC East game. That would be a huge asset to any team. I just don't think either profiles as much more than a developmental starter at this point. They both exhibit limited quarterback skills right now. I think they would both sit behind Grossman here. But that is a huge improvement over Beck, who is basically worthless, to have someone who you can turn to that is both young and has been around the block before. |

IDK how anyone can judge Bradford when he has had the worst talented team in the NFL by far around him.

That's like saying that Tebow and Bradford are really similar passers at the pro level. Which is also true, but it ignores all the differences between them. Or what makes one passable while the other wins fewer than 1/3 of his games.
If someone will offer the Rams a first round pick for Bradford, it would be negligent of them to not trade him. It doesn't matter whether he goes and has great success elsewhere or not. The point is: you're never going to be able to get value on him later. And if you hire the right GM and coach, you won't be picking this high again for a long time. And I totally get the argument that Griffin will fail if he's given the same amount of help as Bradford. I get that. I've made that argument about the Redskins and their QB situation. But again: if you're getting a top 40 pick for Sam Bradford now? You take it and laugh all the way to the bank. Even if Bradford turns out okay elsewhere, you've still won the trade. |
