Ely deserved it!
If he were healthy, perhaps the game has a different outcome...the attempt might have never happened, though. |

We have found Brady's kryptonite. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Giants 4 SB wins
Redskins 3 SB wins crap....... |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
I don't think it will be talked about, but to me one of the big stories was the Pats trying to run the clock out on their second to last possession rather than going for the kill.
Giants 4 SB wins

Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Congrats Giants, more importantly f*ck the Pats.

Well, if Welker had held on to that ball, it was the kill. |

"F" the Giants too we beat them twice. We should have been in the SB. They owe us big, real big. So far every team that has won the SB has played us and we beat them. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Glad Brady lost again. He had the ball last and didn't come through when Eli did.
|
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
At least we can say we dominated the Super Bowl champions twice this season.
|
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Go ahead and punch Eli's ticket for the Hall.
|
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
I don't really feel 1 way other another about the Giants winning, as long as they're not beating the Redskins.
So congrats to the Giants fans. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Ho hum, aside from all the hoopla it felt like just another in-season Sunday football game.
Not saying we were a SB team but still gets me that we beat the Giants twice. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Maybe it's sour grapes but it's hard for me to think of the Giants as SB champions this year. Mediocre team most of the year, then got on a good run. Eli is a hell of a QB though. For the 1st 5 years of his career Eli wasn't very good, but over the last few years he's been very good.

If Welker catches that ball. Game over!! |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Giants 4 SB wins
Redskins 3 SB wins crap.......
Which is why I wanted the Patriots to win. We definitly won't stop hearing how they have 4 trophies and we only have 3. Only good side of things is Philli still has zilch. lol. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
it would be kinda cool if the Mannings Bros got to play each other twice next year
|
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Well, if Welker had held on to that ball, it was the kill.
Agree that drop changed the game, if he catches that they at least get a FG and then forces giants to get a TD and then that final drive would have only needed a FG. |

The 1-15 cowboys beat us the year we won the SB |

Especially since he still got paid. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
If Welker catches that ball. Game over!!
No, it wouldn't have been. But the point is, they spent the whole drive trying to run clock rather than get a clinching score. I think it misses the point to focus solely on the one play they missed the kill on, rather than all the plays on which they didn't even try for it. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
**** you Eli

Games over, it would have been a backbreaker and I believe they score a TD. |

Yeah outside of that. Lol. |

It was nowhere near the end zone and there were 4 minutes left. But again, beside thepoint. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
offseason officially is on. I think we got a shot next year to win the division if we get our QB situation straight and add a couple weapons at WR and a couple athletic fat boys on the Oline. Im calling Royster leads the NFC in rushing
|
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Even though he got cut?
Yes cuz he was on the active roster for at least 8 weeks. |
Ho hum, aside from all the hoopla it felt like just another in-season Sunday football game.
Not saying we were a SB team but still gets me that we beat the Giants twice.
Well if we beat teams like Buffalo and the Eagles when they were 1-4 (or whatever) maybe we're atop the division at 9-7 and in the playoffs. But what's done is done. |

They were moving the ball well and could have killed off most or all of that 4 minutes. The G-men had only one time-out. Welker makes the catch, the game pretty much ends. |
Re: Official Super Bowl Thread
Bradshaw cost me $100. However, I did walk away with $75 in winnings tonight with a 9-0 scores from first/second inning.
