Is SportsCenter going to waste 15 minutes on the jets' training camp every morning?!?!?! They've seriously been talking about Tebow running through the rain for 10 minutes. But I guess it's not like they have any other sports or teams to talk about...
It's the media's lovefest with Tebow. It's so overboard. The guy can't even complete 50% of his passes and get's more pub than Eli Manning. I know he's a good guy and all but I've had enough. |
Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
preach. Broncos and Jets coverage so far sux, kinda expected though.
I can understand it with Denver. Peyton has credentials. Tebow? |
Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Tim Tebow (even Mark Sanchez) draws more interest than most because he's so polarizing. People tune in because they love him, or they tune in because they hate him. But they tune in. They don't do the same for say Christian Ponder.

That's true. I tune in for the drama. lol. Jets are going to be a mess this year. |

He's so polarizing because the media makes him so. He's only polarizing to people who choose to be offended. He's not out preaching or forcing his views on anyone. He speaks at events and conferences but you have to CHOOSE to go to them. He's no different than millions of Americans who have the same beliefs, except for his day job. A group that large isn't "polarizing", it's common. I think the word "polarizing" has just been twisted to apply to anyone you don't agree with. That seemed to start with our previous President. He's in our faces not by his own doing, but because of the media...mainly ESPN. A lot of it has to do with a bias against, you could probably even say hatred for any one who has success and is a Christian. Same with Jeremy Lin. Same with Chik-Fil-A. We're allowed to have our own views, but if it's against what certain people want our society to be, you get unwanted attention and unwarranted hatred. It's a shame, because he's an excellent role model for youth, but because he's a Christian, he has become a target of constant mockery and unfair hatred. I don't care if he goes to church or not, he's a good guy period and we need more athletes like him rather than the rapists, drunks and killers we have to put up with usually. And if I have to hear the word "Tebowing" one more time...ugh. It's another way the media mocks him and his beliefs non-stop. Everyone knows that there will be a quarterback controversy in New York this season. I talk to a lot of Jets fans on the streets up here in NYC on occasion and they really favor Mark Sanchez over Tim Tebow. |

They are. But Sanchez has taken the Jets to two AFC championship games in three seasons as a starter. |

I understand but still he sucks, that team was loaded especially on defense but when he needs to make a big time play he seems to never come up |

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
In Cowboys camp Felix Jones, Andre Holmes, and Brodney Pool all failed conditioning tests. All three of these guys had things to prove in camp. My suspicion is that this highlights a culture of permissiveness and coasting in Valley Ranch. If so, I am gleeful.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Just a few days after signing Antonio Bryant, Seahawks are expected to add Braylon Edwards
|
Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Edwards dropped passes in Cleveland and NY, it's about time that he got around to dropping passes in the Pacific Northwest too.

While we're at it, Chris Samuels doing very well for himself as an assistant to Nick Saban at Alabama.

Sanchez did enough for the Jets to go to two AFC championships, I don't think he "took" the Jets to those games. Still, Sanchez is a better option over Mile High Jesus, especially going up against teams like the Pats. Either way, I don't see the Jets winning many games. |
Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
At that time, the Jets had a whole O-line of 1st-round picks, the best in the league and a great running game + defense.
Their ONLY weak spot was Sanchez. |
Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
first of all, he needs to shut up and leave it in the past
second of all, yeah right single use stays in system for a month. subsequent tests would have reflected low levels getting lower *BUT i don't know if the nfl operates like the court system/probation, where if you test positive, you may continue to test positive while showing lower levels on each test until the test shows it's out of your system - over the course of a realistic timeline. Finally. He's arguing about the length of time marijuana stays in someone's system. That's even more reason not to smoke it. |
NFL AM is about 3 hours too long. They literally discuss one topic for like 20 mins at a time and have 30 minute interviews lol.
