....and Coughlin is not a happy camper about it.
Do you think Coughlin's more upset about the dunking, or the broadcasting?
Maybe Mara can talk his good buddy Goodell into staying completely out of it... |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Sounds to me that Coughlin is more upset about that being put out on social media than anything. Especially since Coughlin has had several meetings with players specifically about using social media.
Don't think he is mad about the act itself. He just wants what happens in the locker room, to stay in the locker room and not show up on Twitter/Facebook/YouTube etc etc. Can't help but admire that. |

Cruz' brain damage must have been felt by all Giants fans. Are you blind? Great hit, LaRon. I'm still a fan as long as he's on the field. Great to see him destroy a NJ Giant. |

Weatherford is a punter. In my experience the kicker/punter receives the most disrespect from his teammates. I seriously doubt that he did not understand the consequences for posting this. I think he understood. I would not be surprised if on some level he WANTED this to be seen. |

And while it looked like classic bullying, we don't know the whole story. Dunno about admiration in this case, but this kinda stuff is common for better or worse, right? I could just see Goodell getting involved in this for appearance sake if nothing else. Player safety. Player safety. Player.... Lord help us all if there's an accident from something like this. |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Ironically this might be the most tragic part of the Seau suicide.
Junior Seau's system found to have no alcohol or illegal drugs - ESPN The autopsy said Seau's brain didn't appear to have any trauma. His family has donated some of his brain tissue for research. Lots of mixed emotions when I read that. Obviously the first one being that he didn't have to die. Second one being that his death may have been from nothing, as theres a strange sense of honor in what he did. But of course then theres hope that if this falls through and he didn't have any damage then it'll show that not every player with a long career will have to worry about head trauma after their career which of course brings us back to the fact that Junior needlessly died for virtually nothing. |

That's what I'm thinking. The Giants will be SB contenders again, but Philly sucks and Dallas is mediocre at best. There's no way we'll be in the cellar this year. |

Dallas has the talent on offense to be very good but I don't trust rob ryans defense. Plus we r much better now than last year. |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Off topic possibly but JAYSUS the officiating is vomitus.
Get this right NFL, this is insanity. It's like I'm watching a completely different game sometimes. |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Dallas just always falls short of expectations and they have problems at wr, and on the o-line. The Eagles looked really good at the end of last season and added a few key guys up the middle on defense which was there glaring weakness - all depends on WHEN Vick goes down for 2 - 4 weeks, because he will - if its during or going into the playoffs they are in trouble - if its early they could still rebound. Giants will have a bad year - lets not forget the year they had after their last SB win. Last year they were 7-7 and got hammered by our Washington Redskins - than went on a run in which everything broke rite - catching the packers after their bye, etc. I would say the Eagles are the favorites rite now - but injuries, and match ups as always will rear their heads as the season moves forward. Its always the things you cant see coming that make the big difference. We play the Saints with most likely a healthy Drew Brees, but in week nine when the Eagles get them Brees might be out - lets just hope we are in the good graces with the football Gods this year.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Foles was looking pretty good up until that interception to end the first half. He just made a bad throw. Hell, he runs the offense better than Vick.
