Redskins luck and history. I'm pretty sure Novaks first fga was a miss as was shuishams and ganos.(I'm to lazy to research it) |

We suck at kickers. Sad to say we need to keep Rackers on radar just in case. |
re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
Nineteen kickers since 1994(18 years) is way too many. That screams instability at the K position. Hopefully Kai Forbath will be the long term answer. We haven't had a franchise kicker since Chip Lomiller and that was so long ago.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. We haven't even seen Forbath kick a kickoff yet. You've got an itchy trigger finger, don'tcha? |
re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
Sad that this seems to be the year of the kicker. Dont' know the statistics, but I've just been hearing so many of the other kickers this year kicking >50 and even >60 yard field goals -- and making them.

He will make his first 10 FG attempts and on the 11th (that he'll miss) some Skins fans will be calling for his head. If he DOESN'T make his first 10 I will eat 10 of JoeRedskins business cards covered in Habanero sauce. I'll paid the postage, JR. He's a Bruin, you heretics! He'll be our Pro Bowl kicker for a decade! HTTR! |
re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
50 yards. We have a kicker...for one week at least!
|
re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
That kick was so critical, helped turn the momentum around both on the field and in the stadium.

re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
Exactly. Cundiff's chip shot miss just got everyone down last week. It seemed like we lost all momemtum with that shank and never got it back.
These kickers are more important to the flow of the game than we realize. Better yet, Philly and Dallas both lost because of kickers. Well, Dallas had a lot more issues than a missed FG in that last half a minute of the game... :D Don't ever complain about our clock management again. |

It seems like opportunities just fall in their lap. I'm so glad they missed that kick. |

i'm happy w forbath, but are the redskins happy enough w him to not look at soon-to-be-released nate kaeding? |

One low extra point kick. Meh. Gotta know when to leave well enough alone. The guy is 6/6 right now. |

Chances that the Redskins release Forbath for Nate Kaeding?

I'm worried as soon as I say something positive about Kai, he's going to start missing kicks..so I'll just keep it at that.

I know I wish he would have missed a meaningless kick already, because every time he comes in to kick the announcers always mention he hasn't missed yet. |

Good thing you're not cosmically linked to the success of the team. Praise away. |

Praise away.
I've learned every time I say something negative about the skins in the game, they do well. Today for example: "We won't score on this drive, the ravens have been stopping our offense the past 3 straight drives"...(Touchdown) "nevermind then!" |

Re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
That's great NC Skins.
My new thing started after we scored to go up by one in the NYG game. Kept repeating the Mantra in my head "Redskins win". It calmed me down to a point where I my heart didn't feel like it was beating out my chest. Worked yesterday too. Started it midway through the third. SO even if this isnt my way of helping the team, it sure helps to calm the nerves. lol Kai is awesome. Great find. So glad we have a kicker. |
