Re: Supreme Court delivers wins for gay marriage movement
She's straight garbage. If you aren't going to do your job, fine. Step down.
She is straight garbage even if she does step down. The bible says "thou shall not judge". That unlike all this other stuff is clearly not up to interpretation. Another strait forward one is "love thy enemies ". I dont reall think the bible is anything but a good ole book, but time has clearly made a mess out of some of the scripture. Marriage back than was a business not born out of love and that has to be taken into consideration when these bible thumpers use it as a weapon. |

As a state employee, I say fuck that cunt bag. They shouldn't allow these people to recuse themselves(much like NC has done), they should do their job or resign. Simple as that. Maybe I'll go tell my boss I can't install this new equipment because my religion forbids me. Better yet, how about a Salafi Muslim worker at the DMV refusing to give women driver's license because they believed women shouldn't be driving. As Matty brought up prior, the hypocrisy of this woman to use religion as a convenience to suit her needs. She didn't give a fuck about religion when she was married 4 times. She didn't give a shit about it when she cheated on her husbands with the next guy. Yeah....fuck that cunt. That's all I got to say about her.

I think that guy makes a damn good point. Basically some sins are ok and open to interpretation- especially ones that a bible thumper is guilty of. But when it is something like homosexuality in question, well that is just inexcusable. Alot of hypocrites out there that conveniently pick n chose when the bible means something. |

JMO, In a nutshell, you take the bible for what it says or not at all. Some denominations and individuals want to interpret and the redefine to......"fit" their lifestyle? Not an option BTW, no sins are.....ok. Regardless of who is guilty of the sin. Largely, it is not open to interpretation in this way. You basically don't get to go ala carte..... That sort of thing is frequently a perversion of the word that...one makes to suit their own purposes. And again, like it or not, obey or not. The bible is quite specific on the subject of homosexuality and gay marriage. Alas, have no fear. If this is what is troubling to you, just find a nice dude and settle down... |
Do you have a point?
yeah, I'm pretty sure it was clear, people use the bible as an excuse in a lot of places and say that we should follow it or that it's very specific re: gays like you have here, then ignore others (like you just did) when they bring up things like the bible's treatment of women as property, that rape is more or less okay, that we shouldn't be eating shellfish, or getting remarried (for the most part), etc. you're the one saying you can't a la carte the bible, and i'm just pointing out that people do it all the time, and most christians don't follow biblical law in an awful lot of places. |

But your choice. Back to the point: The Bible is very specific on gay marriage...... |

I personally have no dog in this fight but you know what is...Strange??? Of the millions of people that could have been chosen to "meet and greet" the Pope..ster, Davis' is chosen to be on of the dozen......2 dozen....really? Something else is.....afoot. The private meeting between Davis, her husband, Joe, and the pope, which Davis’ attorney says took place at the Apostolic Nunciature (Vatican Embassy) in Washington, D.C. last Thursday? It didn’t happen. Re: Supreme Court delivers wins for gay marriage movement
The Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See to the United States is the diplomatic mission of the Holy See to the United States. It is located at 3339 Massachusetts Avenue Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Embassy Row neighborhood.[1] The current Apostolic Nuncio is Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, who was named to the position by Pope Benedict XVI on 19 October 2011.
The Apostolic Nunciature to the United States of America is an ecclesiastical office of the Catholic Church in the United States, with the rank of an embassy. The nuncio serves both as the ambassador of the Holy See to the President of the United States, and as delegate and point-of-contact between the Catholic hierarchy in America and the Pope (as head of the church). The office of Apostolic Nuncio is currently always assigned to titular archbishops. The nunciature to the United States is considered a highly important post and therefore is normally filled by a very experienced Vatican diplomat; historically nuncios to the United States have often been elevated to the rank of Cardinal in consistory shortly after their service, and been given senior posts within the Vatican itself. The Apostolic Nunciature is an administrative center of the Catholic Church in the United States. Communications from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the various dioceses in the United States to the Holy See pass through the nunciature. The nuncio also fills a central role in the appointment of bishops to episcopal offices in the country, and is the official responsible for making the announcement of an episcopal appointment. Instead, Davis was one of “several dozen persons who had been invited by the Nunciature to greet [Pope Francis] as he prepared to leave Washington for New York City,” Lombardi said in the statement. yes, I read the article. It appears the "nunci" is connected closely to the church... It is just weird that given this broad's recent history that she is invited to meet with...himself |
