the Brady vs Manning debate will always be great Lol
Well they both get too much blame and credit when their teams do poorly or well.

But they have been the best two quarterbacks of recent memory so it will always be a lovely debate.

The NFL might become the NBA in terms of mediocre teams making the playoffs.

I hate parity. Half the league sucks and you cant pick a consistent winner LOL

Reports are saying that Vince Wilfork of the pats tore his achilles tendon and is gone for the year. Thats a big loss for the pats.

That might have been the difference between them contending for a Super Bowl and just making the playoffs.

Don't see how that D can slow down manning in the playoffs without him.

Monkeydad 09-30-2013 09:56 AM

Re: Around the NFL Week 4

Their playoff chances are not in any danger in that division. The Jets are Bills are both playing way above their heads (real Jets showed up yesterday) and their only threat is Miami...who won't beat them for the division but could challenge for a Wild Card.

Big loss definitely, but the Pats will be in the postseason as long as Brady is playing. He has no one to throw to, his RBs are not showing up and still winning.

Denver will shred them though.

It's going to be a big loss for them for a lot of reasons.

The larger the player, the longer it usually takes them to recover for any type of leg injury. Vince is 350lbs, he's got a lot of weight on those legs. I remember Maake Kemoateu tore his Achilles, a year later was on the redskins and was showing signs of not recovering from it, then spent a year away from football, then went to the ravens and won the Super Bowl looking like what he used to look like 3+ years ago. Vince will be very lucky to look like himself 2 years from now.

They had a solid D in place already.

I think they're on an emotional high, rallying and playing well together after the whole world was declaring their season over. Hoyer gave them a spark and is not making mistakes.

Will be interesting to see if they still shop Josh Gordon and Greg Little.

The new owner is taking them in a positive direction.

Trent Richardson: 33 carries, 95 yards, 2.8 yards per carry in Indy so far.

Supposedly yesterday Eagles players were telling out "papa Johns" at Peyton Manning while he was changing signals. Probably another stupid ploy from Chip Kelly and his stupid coaching styles like his gimmicky college signs haha.

Addition by subtraction? sometimes a cohesive club house is better than talent.

And sometimes getting rid of a high paid underperforming player gives others a belief that they might get a shot if they perform.

Good point.

Also, I could have gained at least 600 yards behind that Alabama Oline. When you jump from the amature to the pros, you will be humbled and exposed.

If that's true, Kelly is a complete joke as a pro coach.

VIDEO: Peyton Manning, Broncos Used 'Papa Johns' As An Audible - Business Insider
Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos caused a bit of a firestorm when field microphones overheard the team's audibles and fans thought Manning used the call "Papa John's" which would be some sly free advertising for the pizza company Manning endorses.

While a closer look at the replay does suggest that "Papa John's" is indeed used multiple times on this play, it is clearly not Manning's voice. It appears as though it was either the center, Manny Ramirez, calling an audible for the offensive line or the Eagles' defense used the call to distract Manning. If it was the Eagles, it didn't work as the Broncos scored 52 points.
Also, Fletcher Cox was mocking Manning at the line.

R.Wilson did not have a good game passing but he won it with his legs in the 2nd half

Your dads right, he is definitely a man on a mission.

Right now I only see 2 teams that have a chance of beating the Broncos.

Chiefs and Cowboys. Why the cowboys? Because for some reason Peyton seems to struggle against Dallas, don't know why. 2-2 with his last two games against them going 0-2, lifetime numbers against them is 7 TDs 7 INTs with an 85.4 QB rating. Not bad, but low considering he puts up a 90.6 QBR against New England in his career as an example.

Peter King had some ridiculous stat in his MMQB column this morning. 4 TD drive for the Broncos, 36 plays, 305 yards and not a single 3rd down converted...because they were never in a 3rd down situation
