WOW NE Got robbed
Not really. Pats have benefited from a many of calls. The Saints game was courtesy of a no call from the ref. Gronk wasn't going to catch that pass. |

If I had to guess, I would say you hate the Patriots. |
Good no call. Gronkowski was intefered with but he wouldn't have changed the play. I am glad that refs do not play the game by the book and actually only make calls that change the outcome.
It seems that the Patriots have been in 3 or 4 games that have been decided by late calls.
Can't wait to hear Darth Hoody b*tch at the refs all week. |

They also got screwed when they played the Jets. Pats are just like every other team in the league. People just pay more attention to them because they have been one of, if not the most successful team the past decade. |

Well Belichick made it a point to b*tch about that call, even though this made their win against the Saints possible: |

I just get annoyed when people act like the Patriots get certain calls that other teams do not. I am sure I can point to any game in the NFL and point to the officiating as a reason that game did not go the way it should have. Belichick will complain because he has the maturity of a 14 year old girl. |

Rule states interception makes pass uncatchable. LaRon Landry got the same call in the 2007playoffs against Seattle. |
Tuck rule......nuff said......no sympathy for Pats and bad calls.

Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Gronk could have easily stopped, reached back and caught that ball. That might be the worst call of the year. That BS cost me $200. The refs make terrible calls every week but for the most part I think they even out. But the Pats got robbed.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
It was a proper technical call. Gronk was not going to stop on a dime, while running at full speed, plant a foot and pivot 130 degrees back and dive to possibly get a hand on the ball. It would have taken maybe the most fantastic athletic play in history to even touch the ball. Zero chance he was going to catch it.

Yea, but do you see him taking hits? When RG3 runs out of the pocket or on the read option it seems he always takes a hit. I didn't see Cam take any hit unless it was in the pocket. I'm just saying he has that natural ability to avoid getting hit. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
WOW NE Got robbed
No they didn't. Gronk had no chance to catch the pass, it was picked off a few yards ahead of him. If the ball actually got to the receiver, you'd have a case. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
yeah he does, Griff just is reckless at times and obviously it has cost him

It's gotten to the point on NFLN anytime they show highlights and RG3 runs, someone is in the background muttering something about him not lasting the season. If anyone else is running it's oh what a great play.

Yep. Pretty sickening. Cam Newton scrambles and runs - wow, he's so great! RGIII scrambles and runs - he's going to get himself killed! |

NFLN is a total joke and so is their cast, their games suck as well, only thing they get right is a football life |

Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Newton definitely takes his fair share of hits. Yes he's got a bigger frame to absorb them but the point remains, he could get hurt just as easily as anyone else. Knees are fragile.

Yep, and people seem to forget Griffin is 6'2" and built solid. No QB since Brady Quinn has hit the weights as hard as Robert. :D 3 inches of height isn't a huge difference when it comes to getting hit by a freight train like Patrick Willis. He's a lot stronger and tougher than he's given credit for. He has taken some monster hits and just gets up. Cam Newton has played three seasons... hasn't missed a game. Part of that is size, no doubt. Part of that is him being able to slide and run out of bounds and not take unnecessary hits. I think a big part of that is also he rarely pitches the ball like RG3, which I think is the dumbest thing the Redskins do. I see a big difference between there running styles. RG3 is a sprinter that sees a first down and will do anything to get it. Cam Newton is shiftier and has that 6th sense to him, similar to Russell Wilson. That is just my opinion on the two running styles. |

If I had to wager, than of course I am betting on him not making that play. However, it is not up to the refs to say he wouldnt make the greatest athletic play in history. If there is even the most remote chance he can catch it than you have to throw the flag. It was a bad call. That being said - fuck the Pats they get alot if bad calls going their way - hows it feel bitches? |

Everyone gets mad at the refs for blowing games but when they make the call that is in line with the rule book, everyone turns into analysts. Luke Kuchely didn't wrap his hands around Gronk until the ball got to Lester. IF you wanna call defensive holding you have a better argument, but by pass interference rules that isnt it. When LaRon Landry had the exact same play in the 2007 playoff game against the Seahawks no one was crying there. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
It was a good non-call in my opinion.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
I thought it was good no call but when the ref threw the flag and then said nevermind... I would have been very angry if I was Bill or Tom.
