What were you more ok with, the Buffalo starting D man handling the Giants starting offense or Peirre-Paul getting put in his place by a 7th round Tackle pick?

And as expected, EJ Manuel is still a major bust.
I'm really not too excited over that game . It was nice to have football back but the Giants are running a new up tempo O and after only two weeks of camp it wasn't bad ,nice just to see JPP batting balls at the line again .

I see this every time a big deal is reached and it seems that people look at it as how much they would pay for a particular player if virtually every QB was available on the open market. However you have to consider how difficult it is not only to find a QB but the fact that you've taken X amount of time to at the very least develop him within your organization. Dalton with 3 years of experience in the Bengals offense is more valuable then Dalton in year 1 with another team.

And even if a player is a product of a system how easy is it for your organization to find a comparable fit?

I'm gonna be watching this Thursday night with one eye closed and another open. Heard our first practice against the pats was super sloppy.

Yup. If you have a QB you can win with on a regular basis (Flacco, Dalton, Romo), you pay premium dollar to hold onto them. Flawed as they may be, it's either them or a journeyman or untested rookie. Not like the Bengals could say, ehh, let him walk, we will just sign Aaron Rodgers instead.

I'm glad the Redskins practiced with the Patriots. It's a good way to measure how far off they are - which apparently in some respects they're really far off! But, it shows them where they're at and where they need to be. It's hard to gauge that when you're practicing against your own team.

Nice!! I was at the game when they dedicated that statue to TL(a skins loss). I looked over my left shoulder and Bob Lilly was standing there at one of the tunnel entrances. Fans walking right by him didn't even know who he was.
I asked a couple of stooges around me if they knew who that was and they were dumbfounded. A bunch of Cowboy greats came out of each tunnel around the stadium right before halftime.

Well it's certainly not a good thing, Goodell must be face palming on this.

Chico23231 08-07-2014 11:15 AM

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!

Like Czabe said the other morning, Snyder is constantly trolled by the media who takes every single opportunity to twist what he says, post the worst pictures of the guy, and writing negatively about the guy 90% of the time.

But Jerry who constantly does and says dumbshit as an owner seems to get a pass or is rarely condemed for his actions. I say this as Jerry the owner not the gm. As the GM he does rightfully get bashed.

Take this specific story, dont see it on ESPN, PFT...strange huh? Especially PFT, who Florio as we all know is a 100% little shit who cares more about tabloid than actual fact.

The facts are in the pictures period. Go ahead goodell, espn, pft, look the other way, but continue to bash Snyder on his brand stance. F8ckem all to hell

MTK 08-07-2014 11:19 AM

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!

Yeah pretty amazing it hasn't turned up on PFT yet. But Florio can't stop posting about the name issue.

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!

1 - the one thing jerry seems to do well is kiss the media's behind, hold weekly luncheons etc

2 - this seems to be an extortion plot and if the ESPNs of the world ran the story and made a big deal out of it, they would in effect play the enforcer on behalf of the extortionist. kinda like the push for media to not publish the name or glorify people who commit mass murder for attention.

What are the chances Garrett is fired after this season? Unfortunately, I'd say pretty high.

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!

I recently read a book called "Boy Will Be Boys." It's about the Cowboys from the time Jimmy Johnson took over until Switzer's last year. It's not surprising at all that Jones is messing around on his wife. According to this book, he's been doing it for years. They could have a set up where they have an open marriage or she let's him do his thing. I personally don't care as he wasn't breaking any laws, just probably embarrassed himself and his family. And I guaranntee he's not the only owner doing it.

Another 8-8 should do it.

Although it sure would be great to see them bottom out and go 4-12 or something.

some cool pics. reminded me the players are actually human beings underneath the pads.

the pic of romo signing autographs reminded me of why NFL teams should have a kids only section so grown folks who sell memorabilia for a living dont hog the moment.

Foles and Barkley stunk it up. Sanchez played pretty well. Eagles depth on defense simply isn't any good. Their 2nd and 3rd stringers looked horrible.

Clearly the NFL wants Manziel to win his first game.
