How stupid was it for Peterson to go for that 4th and 4 earlier? Had he taken the 3 points, they'd now be in position to make it a 2 points game with 2 minutes to go and 3 time outs...
It’s funny I was just thinking how much I admire him for having the stones to take chances on 4th down(s). I had visions of Ron doing that in Dallass next year to stick it to the cowboys

Clowney and Fletcher Cox were flat out wrecking mutherfuckers today. Hope our new coaching staff can get our Dline playing aggressive and downhill.

I like his ballsy approach, and going for it on 4th down... but you also gotta factor in the situation.
You have a bad back up QB, your defense has been stopping the Hawks offense, while your offense have had a hard time sustaining drive, so I'll take the cheap shot FG to make it a 5 points game with close to 6min left versus a 4th and 4. I hate playing the what if game, but had he done that, the next possession would have given them a shot at making it a 2 points game with 2 minutes to go...
And, in that situation, I think the odds of making a stop, getting good starting position, moving the ball 30 yards down field, and making the game winning FG are way higher than making a 4th and 4, scoring a TD, making the 2 points conversion and then preventing Russel Wilson from having a late 4th quarter come back drive.

This was a good week end for Dlines. The Bills' and Texans' DLs were super exciting to watch, and Cox and Clowney are monsters.

that’s a good shot. That’s good to know, but Sean Payton had a perfect boomer pose in the first.
That very much was a pass interference on Rudolph. It was clear as day the separation he got came from the shove and extended arm.
If PJ Williams turns his head and plays the ball (like most corners should but fail to do) he probably gets that call

Ill say this next weekend:

Minnesota will give San Fran problems with that defense.

Tennessee has to win ugly just like against the Pats. But there is no way they will be able to play up on the line of scrimmage with speed of Brown and Andrews.

KC should destroy Houston

The Seahawks will give the Packers trouble

Don't forget Hayden Hurst. He is probably the most well rounded TE they have and surprisingly clocked the fastest speed by a Raven on offense this year 20.5 mph on a 61 yard catch and run. Sooooo many weapons there and just in case the offense stalls Justin Tucker can kick from damn near anywhere on the field.

Interesting choice by Jerry. McCarthy doesn't seem like a Jerry guy.

yup...he is a beast. Patriots don't have shit scaring anybody when it comes to speed.

This is why its so pivotal to get some speed on the other side of Terry.

I am 100% okay with this hire. Particularly since the twitter rumor mill is suggesting that he would bring in Haslett to be his DC - Never have I desired a twitter rumor to be more true than that.

He was awful in his last 2 years in GB, when you can't score points with AROD/ADAMS/NELSON.. That's bad.

Mike McCarthy hiring proves just not a great job as the media leads on to be, overrated. Very meh hiring...

Bieniemy, Wink M, Urban, Saban, Riley, Sean Payton, Mike Zimmer, all would have been better hires. If Payton or Zimmer really wanted the job they coulda made it happen no problem.

Lets get one thing straight, McCarthy was told the only way you would have the opportunity to be the Cowboys Coach is Jerry and Junior hold all the power.

Period

Yeah we all know those 2 aren't letting him call shots.. They did that before with Parcells and it killed Jerry

I'm unzipping if it's Haslett. Mike Nolan has ran some decent defenses in the past.

The rumors came to fruition. He's lost some shine since 2018 but someone will still get a good d-coordinator.

I'm curious to see how things will shake up in New England.

I gotta believe Bellichick is itching to get his QB of the future going. He was grooming Jimmy G for that, until Brady forced the team to trade him. I don't know if Stidham is that QB of the future.

I wonder why Brady is potentially going elsewhere. Has he had a falling out with Bill? Do the Pats WANT to move on from Brady since he is declining (this is what they do with every other position). I am more interested in what the Pats do next as opposed to what Brady does. Would they trade up to get Tua to address their need AND keep him away from Miami?
