Chico knows some stuff. His best guess was wrong this time.

My heartfelt apology to you G-1.

Hope the Jones at QB thing works out for y'all...
All good. We have no choice but to stick with Jones maybe draft a youngster after the third round ,we're dead last in CAP space for 2022 but great in 2023.

Aaron Rodgers on Nathaniel Hackett:

“I hope he doesn’t go anywhere. Unless I do,” Rodgers said with a smirk, per Packers insider Matt Schneidman.

If he wasn’t do good at football he’d be a great politician. There are so many ways you can read that quote. If he ends up in Denver I’d love to know what pull Hackett had there.

I think whether or not you choose to believe AR would go where NH goes, the main point is it won't hurt the Broncos' chances.

To me it has more legs than this supposed link between Deshaun Watson and Flores...

And AR has never been one to sugar coat things or be PC.

Rodgers is a pussy ass bitch who isn't going anywhere. He'll retire before he goes to another team.

Brady won a SB his first year in TB.
Manning took DNV to two SBs in 4 years winning one.
Those giant balls are weighing heavy in Rodgers mouth right now.

Rodgers only shot at a SB was going to the Rams last year but that door closed when they traded two 1sts for Stafford.

Which makes it seem they are not very committed to their young QB, otherwise they'd hired an offensive minded HC.

Think this could be a good hire. Time will tell. The Colts are kinda setting themselves up for an interesting offseason…replacing a top d-coord and exploring options outside of Wentz at QB. They have talent all over that field.

Wonder if the Nagy failure hurt Eric B chances in Chicago?

Maybe the Colts hire Wink Martindale as DC.

Giants hire Daboll , most likely keeping Graham as DC, talking to Ken Dorsey to be OC.

Doesn't matter who the Giants hire cause they still have Daniel Jones... 😂😂 He'd be in the HOF if he played us 17 games but unfortunately for him he has 15 other teams.

None of our QB's were taken 6th overall. You could seriously argue that Jones isn't really any better than Heinicke. He has a stronger arm but that may be about it. All Jones does is turn the ball over constantly.

You seem to be trying to convince yourself that Jones is no better then Heinicke, I never said he was or he wasn't.

Ziegler and McDaniels in LV. Be interesting to see how McDaniels has learned from his failure in Denver and what Bill has taught him since. If they do keep Carr, good be a real boost for him.

Anyone see Rodgers in Denver or San Fran , with Jimmie G going to the Raiders?

Good chance Rodgers stays in GB, but if not I could see him in Denver maybe. That's the talk of the town lately.

I don't know what SF has to offer after giving up three 1st round picks, and a third for T Lance. Are they going to give up on T Lance? I don't see that happening.

Rodgers would be an idiot to leave GB.. Why go to denver with an average OL and no D Adams??

Adams is an FA. Denver could lure him too. Manning had limited mobility and a bum neck/arm, and still won a SB in Denver. Not exactly the same scenario but Rodgers could easily have been more successful in that offense than Bridgewater and co. Most key pieces will be back next year.

Re: Black Monday 2022 thread
Anyone see Rodgers in Denver or San Fran , with Jimmie G going to the Raiders?
Denver yes, SF no way. Raiders only if they write off Carr, and I can't see that. Carr is not the Raiders problem. Stability and weapons are their problem. Bringing in a QB on the back side of his career with a win now objective AND a new HC doesn't make sense to me.

I can see Jimmy G in DC, Tampa, NO or Pittsburgh. Anywhere else he'll be directly competing with an incumbent and he'll want to come in as the outright starter on signing. Depends on what each can offer to entice the 9ers to part with him, and him to play for them. Right now I'd say all 4 of those teams (possibly excluding NO who could bring Winston back) have no clear starter and could do with at least a capable starter while they look or a franchise QB in the draft.

All speculation until all the coaching slots are filled and FA begins in earnest. THEN we'll know which teams really have gaps to fill.

Rivera should have kept him or we should have hired him instead of Ron, he'll be successful as a coach.

So who thinks this Brian Flores lawsuit could potentially be a big problem for the NFL? If he can prove that he was offered/paid money to LOSE games? That has to have some ramifications right?

Could be a huge problem - just we're all wallowing at the new name right now.

If Flores has the proof that Ross did that - Ross should face serious repercussions. The league takes its' integrity very seriously - at least in terms of public image. Knowing that an owner was intentionally trying to pay his HC to lose games should be unforgiveable to the fans who spent money supporting the team.

And we all knew the Rooney Rule was a sham anyways - teams just did token interviews to satisfy the requirement knowing they were never under serious consideration. But the Giants thing proves it. And it's a terrible look for Elway/co. to show up to the interview hungover.

I fully expect the NFL to try and minimalize the damage here. Flores sacrificed his career for this though.

I think that is an important component. The gumption it takes to be a whistle blower knowing there will be bridges burned is really commendable in my book.

Yeah I agree. Dolphins should lose multiple first round picks if not more. You know the NFL wants no part of "tanking" in their house.

Flores just opened a huge can of whoop ass on the NFL no doubt. They've got a lot of explaining to do. Pretty brave of him because his NFL career is probably toast no matter if he's right or wrong.

Messing with Vegas money lines, integrity of the game .... this thing has tentacles.

Would love Brian to come here and replace Del Rio. he knows hes sacrificing his career for the greater good of POC candidates to follow.

He also set himself up ,his lawyers are shit. Suing the Giants,Broncos and Miami and the NFL for Racial discrimination but failed to report that Miami Owner (supposedly) offered him $100,000 per game to lose .Suing Denver for not being hired in2019? Giants gave him not one but two interviews as they did two other people. Rooney rule is a joke.

Re: Black Monday 2022 thread

As I expected today, a lot of feelings expressed by Brian Flores and lawyers , but very little facts. Timelines and interviews with both the Giants and Broncos doesn’t support a claim. Also Vance Johnson had just been given 2 years with Denver and that’s the vacancy he was interviewing for.

Miami should be in deep shit with their tanking claims…but one thing I don’t understand is why Flores wouldn’t recruit the greatest QB to come there?

I think the Rooney rule does a lot of good. Maybe just get rid of it. Flores got a HC job for 3 years and seemed to be a surprise hire at the time.

There are 32 HC jobs…a small number. The NFL could open an investigation/case study into why each HC got his job. Look at the timing, the candidates, etc. And then present the results to the league.

Get rid of the Rooney Rule and quit making a mockery out of this hiring process. Quit making these guys do interviews when they're never going to be hired.

Regarding McDaniels, it's called white privilege. What else is it if it isn't that? The guy totally bombed in Denver. He got caught up in a video taping issue. He pissed off everyone there and traded Cutler who at the time was a franchise QB. Didn't do shit in St. Louis when he was the OC, then finally leaves Indy hanging.. Yet year after year he has his pick of NFL jobs. What a joke.
