I'm really surprised no one took Willis.
AJ Brown is good but if he was Elite the Titans would have paid him.. That is a damn good team with a really good coach, you don't let elite players leave unless you believe he's already had his ceiling. Also Hurts is not a passer, he is as inaccurate as a Mitch T or Lamar.
I hear you but I am focusing on getting a known commodity versus a crap shoot. The way I see it if I heard we traded the 16th for Brown I would probably be pretty happy with that. I think considering what has been given up for WR in FA this was pretty decent. The Eagles GM has made some interesting trades Wentz, and now for Brown so we will see if they pan out. |

I really thought he'd be the first QB off the board. Goes to show how much we know. Teams obviously don't think he's a viable day 1 starter. |

Willis could very well turn out to be a solid or better QB. Maybe, he also has the needed intangibles as well. Some teams may be concerned he played in a rather simplistic system. |

I think teams are just being stupid and trying to out cute themselves on not paying these WRs |
Re: 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I love how these "experts" are already calling the Jets and Eagles as the clear winners of this draft so far LOL It's been 1 round and yes I like the Jets picks and good for Philly for paying Brown but at the end of the day NOTHING will matter if Wilson and Hurts suck.. Wilson has a much bigger upside IMO as Hurts is who he is.

And we should know, given how often our team would "win the offseason" and whatnot. |

Eagles just added Brown which makes their offense better. That is a nice one two punch w/ Brown and Smith. Then they get Jordan Davis, stud.. I like what the Eagles did. I wouldn't 100% count on Hurts playing all 16 games. Minshew is more than capable of winning games for them. He is the better passer so it is something to watch and see how it plays out. |

Go back 2 months - some of us knew the QBs were crap. |
Re: 2022 NFL Draft Thread
That was another reach. Getting worried about the front office - Reached in the first last year (which hasn't worked out well so far) and now reaches in both the 1st and 2d his year.
That said I don't think Dotson was as big a reach as Davis was and upon further study he would have gone in the either to GB or KC) so just a minor reach. |
Re: 2022 NFL Draft Thread
It's only a reach if you believe the millions of rankings and mock drafts that get put out. They are kinda fun, but I guarantee none of the front offices or scouts use them for anything.

Sauce, Wilson, and Johnson.
On paper. All joking aside you guys have done well many teams did ...in the draft needs were filled on paper. Now can these newbies translate into the NFL? The biggest difference is the speed of the NFL game compared to College, every NFL team is a college "all start team". |
Re: 2022 NFL Draft Thread
For what it's worth I thought the Commanders did well so far.
