He's going into year 7, at this point he is who he is.
For more than one of those years he was a damn good quarterback. So he has shown the ability. Ill hold out hope for a renaissance until im calling for his head. Probably around the second quarter of week one. Lol |

He can be very good at times, he will also frustrate the shit out of us at other times. Just who he is. A deluxe Rex Grossman basically. Don't get me wrong we're definitely far off better with him over Heinicke. |

All 3 showed flash but have also shown bad. What would be huge for Wentz is if AG and the Rbs ball out |
Re: 2022 Commanders Training Camp discussion
Lets also not forget that he had a very good year last year, the Jags game killed it for him and of course that is what everyone keeps bringing up

Re: 2022 Commanders Training Camp discussion
re firing of DL coach Mills III - I remember Chase Young saying last year that they were being taught one way then asked to play a different way during games. Something to that effect re a difference in teaching technique ... with the lean being he wanted to play on Sundays the way they teach him practice leading up to game day.
Ron was saying last year the edge guys need to be more "mature" meaning they need to play their role on any specific play. I took this as Ron saying chase cant just try and beat his guy outside every play when he is being asked to cover the B gap or tie up the LT so an edge rusher can take the C gap. I cant find an article on it now. |

Re: 2022 Commanders Training Camp discussion
Last season, Young won off the edge on 22.3% of his pass rushes compared to 18.6% this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information. He defeated double-teams 14.3% of the time compared to 2.9% in 2021. When he rushed inside last season, he won 20% of the time; he has not rushed inside much this season, but has yet to win.
He's being chipped more by tight ends and backs compared to 2020. Lines are sliding his way more often. Rivera said their internal stats have Young and Sweat being chipped 55 to 57% of the time when it's third-and-7 to third-and-10. Follow the NFL all season long "Some plays they line the chipper out there and I expect them to chip me and he doesn't," Young said. "It's like they're playing a mind game. I just have to adapt. It's just dialing in like I'm doing and keep trusting the process. ... I talked to coach Rivera and we've got a plan to fix that." Rivera said: "I'd love to see him run through that guy a few more times and kind of set the tone and tempo instead of reacting to him a little too much. It's something he never had to face." https://www.espn.com/blog/washington-commanders/post/_/id/42035/washingtons-chase-young-i-can-take-the-criticism-just-keep-watching ^^ this is from Nov 2021 Ron was on the junkies a few weeks ago and echoed the same sentiment. He wants to see Chase be the guy he was in Ohio State ... getting physical and taking guys head on with physicality vs trying the outside finesse moves. |
Re: 2022 Commanders Training Camp discussion
Anything be see Jason wright getting made at that report for asking “ tough” questions to Wentz?
Commanders love their fluff only stories this time of year. |

Commanders love their fluff only stories this time of year.
It’s amazing they are perpetuating the stigma that he mentally fragile and sensitive to criticism…after Carson handled it perfectly fine. They don’t even see what they are doing. Jason Wright has been another disappointment |
Re: 2022 Commanders Training Camp discussion
Everyone is making a mountain out of a mole hill. I don't mind Jason saying that, especially if the guy is known for being the shocjock type (I don't know anything about him).
Carson needs to win. If he loses, he's sensitive. If he wins, it all goes away. Just beat Jacksonville. All hell will break lose about him and Rivera if we don't. |

Team spokesman confirms: Sammis Reyes is out for the year. (unless he reaches an injury settlement and signs elsewhere, which feels unlikely in this case) |

Looks like Robinson is getting more reps with the 1s
He should. He just might be the best RB in the room already. Honestly, I thought it would take a few weeks, but AG fumbling on the second series of the first preseason game may have accelerated the transition. |

You can't play if you're injured and you can't play if you can't be trusted. I don't trust AG to not fumble the ball. Fumbling that soon just killed any remaining hope I had. I'd give Robinson a majority of the carries and use AG more like how we want to use Samuel. Get him the ball outside in space. Not going through the line of scrimmage very often. So frustrating. |

Less pressure to be the top guy and could thrive more as a 3rd down back/receiver. Rivera may realize AG's fumbling issues are real unfortunately right now. |

Don't think he was ever meant to really run between the tackles. They need to look at him playing receiver more although there is a lot of dudes already.

Looks like Robinson is getting more reps with the 1s
As he should. But the "Two-Headed Monster" is still in play. I choose to believe that AG can solve his fumbling problem. Tiki Barber nearly wrecked his NFL career because of his fumbling but he committed to fixing it and he did. He went on to have an excellent career. That gives me an idea. Maybe someone could put AG in touch with Tiki to talk about beating the fumbling bug. |

Should be interesting to monitor. Really hope the reports about Jamin Davis looking significantly better this year are accurate. It would help out the defense a ton. No doubt teams may look to target him this year especially considering the many 5-2 fronts we'll run. Huge year for him.

If he sucks again, our d will really be hurting. We need that strong LB play |

Wow... That is considerable - considering the amount of bodies they have in camp right now. Why would you use your #1 RB for those type duties... |

The punt duty is surprising though. |

Re: 2022 Commanders Training Camp discussion
Saves us from yet another debate of his value on the roster. They seem to be looking to find some roster spots, RR indicated 6 WR so maybe they are seriously looking at keeping 4 TE or 4RB. They may actually be keeping more DB or LB given the depth issues there
