Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Well, we better score some points. That's all I can say. Peace out, fellas.

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
very surprised by another wide reciever...espn seems to like the picks though...
hopefully we bolster the offensive and defensive lines tomorrow and pick up a db, never know here though |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
So two WRs plus they signed Mathis? My guess is Mathis is gone before he even starts.
When are we getting some D-line help? Kendall Langford in the 4th round? |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Woah... we're really helping out Campell in this draft.
Another receiver!
Yeah so theres no excuses |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
This could work 2TE need in WCO and then we get 2 young WR, Randle El can be more of the slash reciever no I guess
|
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
We better be throwing like crazy, because there's no way we're going to keep Moss, ARE, Cooley, Davis, Thomas, and Kelly happy if we don't. Say nigh, nigh to Anthony Mix.
with campbell gone i love the pick...love it...
groves is a linebacker not an end. amazing value here. but how do we keep them all happy...
But Campbell was still on the board... |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
I don't know about this. They could have and should have made better use of these picks. Surprising, while they usually make smart choices
I don't like.....to much focus on one area. I'm really surprised! I guess we are done with WR now.....I HOPE! |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Lets let it pan out and see how this all works out before we starting cursing the FO here. Just remember we will have the WCO this yr and need this.. i see def coming later.. or possibly they are talking to a Free Agent and not letting anyone know or are waiting for June 1 cuts to help out some too.

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Is there some sorta trade thinking down the road in the thinking process....?

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
I'd have loved the Kelly and Thomas picks if we had gotten some help on the D to go along with it. I have no problem not taking OL help yet. The talent is just as strong in the later rounds there. But not at DE. What do we do now?
As far as improving our WRs Kelly and Thomas is great, but does it make our team better? |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
This has Snyder's prints all over it. Snyder is definitely an "offense-centric" guy and loves the guys at the skills positions. Frankly, I'm shocked we have not addressed CB, DT, DE, OT, or OG yet. Yes, we have picks in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th, but I'm stunned we've only drafted guys on O.

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Ok, got it figured out. We run a one back, 4 wideout, dual te, two tackle, Center and one Guard offense. Quothe the Guinness Guys: "BRILLIANT!"

When are we getting some D-line help? Kendall Langford in the 4th round?
There's something in the Redskin Rulebook about drafting D-linemen early. We should all know that by now. I don't get this at all. I felt the need was more along the O-line -- it's still good, but aging. It's the most important group of players on a football team, and this organization appears to be content with milking the current guys for all they're worth without preparing for their inevitable decline. Or they really didn't like any of the O-linemen at this juncture. |
Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
yeah...there go Thrash, Mix, and Mathis
