Matty, more than 1 thing can be true at the same time right? I just want someone here that is a Democrat to admit here that Cuomo did a terrible job. If Tapper can admit it, anyone can!!

I'll admit Cuomo did a terrible job, if you admit a national crisis requires national leadership (which means the feds should've taken the lead on building up supplies and allocating them accordingly to the worst hit areas) instead of telling the governors they need to step up and handle their states.

Coronavirus (political)
And yet NY right now is under control, opening back up, while Florida has 20% of all the cases in the US right now and keeps setting records almost daily, all this after DeSantis took his victory lap back in May like a buffoon. It's clear who the clown is right now.
You forget the cardinal rule of the right. Whatever they did that was/is absolutely asinine was actually a democrat. The media just doesn’t like Trump and the republicans so everything you see and hear is the opposite. Duh.

Re: Coronavirus (political)

It is hysterical that the right is up in arms about a premature victory lap. Remember when they wanted to give Trump the Nobel Peace Prize for going to North Korea for a photo op.

Coronavirus (political)

New York has more deaths than any other city (for obvious reasons- sort of a transient hangout lol) - Cuomo is an idiot.

USA has more deaths than any other country (no obvious reasons for that to occur) -
Trump is handling this whole thing better than anybody has ever handled anything ever.

Ahh the oblivious right - gotta love em. Or ya don’t.

I'm not going to say he did a terrible job when NY was a disaster a few months ago and is now well under control. He did some things poorly, some things very well. Like you say more than one thing can be true, right?

I see what you did there. Nicely played.

It is absolutely insane. NYC nips it in the bud in a big way (at least for now) and the guy is a criminal for patting himself on the back because Jake Tapper - the same Jake Tapper who does nothing but lie according to them - said so, but Trump says in March we would have zero cases in a week, and he was just being positive. Holy moly the hypocrisy of the right.

Here's to hoping that hospitals and local, state, and federal governments learn a lot of lessons about disaster preparedness for things such as viruses. I do think it's the 1st 3's responsibility to be prepared for situations like this prior to them happening (as prepared as possible). Once the shit hits the fan, the federal government does need to step up and be a leader.

Thinking that Cuomo did a bad job is not saying all Republicans, including Trump, did a great job.

Understood, but letting Trump and the republican governors go on for months without mention of their mishandling of any of this than jumping all over a CNN article (which any other time would be fake news) that calls out Cuomo is sort of the same thing.

I really haven't been too critical of any governor, Republican or Democrat during this pandemic. Not something anyone was prepared for. Being a governor would be brutal right now. No matter what choice you make, approximately half of your constituents will think you fucked up.

But Cuomo just brought it on himself going on media and bragging about what a great job he did. Not a good look. Hell I have Newsom as my governor, I don't agree with him on probably anything, and I haven't badmouthed him here.

At least Cuomo crowed AFTER NYC was straightened out unlike DeSantis who has seen FL blow up in his face
