His ONLY negative is I feel theres a good chance he's going to test positive for cocaine somewhere down the line :D
Still I just love that pic of him and Barkley. Seriously he just played the wrong sport. If he played hockey a lot of his character issues would have been viewed as assets.
So glad we do not have to worry about rolling the dice on Barkley next season. He's been a popular speculation but I do not trust USC QBs. In recent memory: Mark Sanchez - yuck, SO glad we did not get him as speculated Matt Cassel - outside of NE's system, he's nothing John David Booty - nope Matt Leinart - bust Carson Palmer - pretty good BEFORE knee injury Rob Johnson - nope Todd Marinovich - one of the biggest QB busts ever Rodney Peete - nothing special, a few good moments Sean Salisbury - better commentator than journeyman QB Add Barkley to the list soon. |
I must admit I'm confused at all the get rid of Orakpo talk. Ugh have you not seen how much promise we have with Rak & Kerrigan ? Why would you break that up when when we just dumped picks. That's silly. And the D-Hall bashing I get but everyone wanted Los out too and how did that work out ? We don't need to unload players, we made our big deal. Why trade for a WR when we can simply go pick a FA up, stud WRs and draft a CB or SS.
--- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?5rxdwj
Don't count me as having Rogers out, I was pissed when Hall was signed to such a ridiculous contract knowing they wouldn't resign Rogers. How did it turn out? |
Carriker's a free agent. He wouldn't be traded
The list of possibilities shrinks. Would it be possible to trade Fred Davis and re-assign the tag to Landry to give him one more year to prove himself? Is that allowed? Maybe something is coming for Davis, suspension-wise? I doubt Moss would get much back in a trade at his age but he'd probably bring a mid-round pick since we're bringing in a big name WR or two. |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Everyone is picking defense as to the player possibly being traded. Most of the players picked have little to no trade value. I would guess a starter who either does not fit our system as well as they would like (ie; Orakpo) or maybe a position that we have several decent players at like maybe..... RB? Who are the teams that might could use one of our 3 RB's? Hightower, Hulu, Royster.

Hightower is a FA, not under contract yet. |

Even though he dropped several balls or tipped them for defenders. LL has been falling off each year. Yeah he makes a good play here and there but he's not Free Safety material anymore. I really don't think he ever was except in college. I think he should have stayed or had been moved to SS, Doughty used as backup, and a bonified FS hired to do the job. But now that he's refused surgery 2 yrs in a row ... let him go. |

Off topic, but who are you monkeydad? You've got 11k posts but I don't remember seeing you until recently. Are you someone else who just changed ids?

I thought that might be the case but again who knows maybe it was one of our RB's? |

No come on.... you remember him... he's that 32 y/o guy from PA. Remember? |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
I am gonna guess Helu. I think he has some value and Hightower and Royster look good with another late round pick added in.
Although, I really could see us trying to work a trade for another player instead of a pick. Trading for a pick wouldn't make much sense this far in advance because you don't know what is out there. But, since the Steelers see they are going to lose Wallace sooner or later, and maybe they don't want to get stuck with one of the last picks in the 1st round, I could see us trying to work something out to get Wallace. Forget V-Jax (and his problems), could you see RGIII and Wallace playing here together? |

Very unhappy that he did not get signed. As I said, I think that is because they intend to go after Paul Soliai. |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
I have an idea. Lets make our defense the nastiest most intimidating D in the league. Draft Vontaze Burfict, sign Cortland Finnegan, and resign Laron Landry. Sure we'll get a ton of penalties and start our own SUPER bounty program but man it'll be fun to watch.

It'll be just like hockey. Go with me on this guys I'm on to something. |
