I needed that, thank you. Oil? Whose talkin about oil? Bitch you cookin? The Iraq/Afghanistan wars accomplished what they wanted to accomplish, which was make a whole bunch of contractors a whole bunch of money. Yes, there was endless waste, including corrupt officials getting paid, and sure plenty of soldiers and Afghani civilians died (with even more yet to come) but in the end some companies made some money, which is what America is all about anyways. I can sleep better at night knowing Eric Prince sleeps on a bed of money. |
Cool. I concede that argument, and raise the other argument that the majority of Americans (that's 51% or over if you need numbers) are in agreement that we can't keep wasting money and American lives in Aghanistan.
Yeah I know but my last statement stands - America did forget. Just add the never forget slogan to the dustbin that holds the never again slogan (How many genocides have occurred since 1945?). |

There's one happening in China right now, but we look the other way because we're too reliant on China as a country to even consider serious repercussions for their slaughter of Uighurs. |
We should have stayed in Afghanistan until 3021!
FFS, there was never going to be the "right" time to leave there. There for 20 years and the country folded in weeks. They either don't care about their country or prefer the Taliban. I'll likely never agree with Biden on anything else, but I like this choice. We aren't the world's babysitters.
We agree . |
Re: All things Middle East related
This is the biggest foreign policy embarrassment of my lifetime.
The cowardly action of Biden to take an extended vacation and now for lying cunt Jen Psaki to abruptly take a week vacation…simply to not have to answer for the greatest foreign debacle. This is your President….as the border gets overrun he hides, avoids interaction…as Afghanistan is overrun he hides and refuses fo answer questions The adults are back? Fuckin clown and fuck his defenders. Own it |

Good watch. "The Hashish Army" There's no way our military leaders who trained these soldiers didn't know they would fold as soon as we packed up. There's no way this army wasn't stoned off their asses half the time, look at how they execute jumping jacks. |
Re: All things Middle East related
This is an epic failure. Look how the previous administration left the Middle East and what’s going on now.
Saigon on steroids…look at the airport in Kabal And Cowardness by Biden to hide at this time is truly amazing. Adults are back! Look forward to see General Milley thought on this or is he still worried about white rage? Fuckin disgraceful clown. He’s responsible for this as well and should step down |

If I didn't know any better I'd swear this reminds me of someone else's agenda. |
Re: All things Middle East related
I feel so bad for the people 30 and under. Weve been there for 20 years and all they knew was non-taliban life. Now, in short order, you have clothes stores painting over their window advertisements, music is banned ...
This is a sad day, lots of human fear and suffering going on |

It actually was his plan. You can take a look at the deal we signed in Doha under his administration. Should be noted that Trump as well wanted to meet with the Taliban at Camp David. Here's what was in the agreement: We would withdraw by May 1st (Original withdrawal deadline) We release 5,000 Taliban fighters that were captured by us. We lift all sanctions against the Taliban This is what Trump said after the deal was signed: "It's time after all these years to bring our people back home" "time for someone else to do that work and it will be the Taliban and it could be surrounding countries" "I really believe the Taliban wants to do something to show we're not all wasting time," |
