Should have had RG covering Amendola. Hasslettusdown and Danny Smith should ride coach on the way home and share a turd pot pie. |
Jenkins is starting to look like a reach. He's not stout enough but, that can't be the reason he was drafted. Baker if/when healthy may go ahead of him.
Thats a little early, he's coming off a major knee surgery and missed all his rookie year. Let's let him play at least 3 games in his professional career before labeling a reach, or bust. Forgot bout Baker, that is a positive and he has the body to rotate to a 3-4 DE position. |

The defensive line wasn't all that great either. No pressure, didn't do a great job of stopping the run.
Yup. Our front 7 should have dominated but they didn't. |

PLEASE NFL! GET US SOME REAL REFEREES!! PLEASE NOW!!
If it wasn't for the refs, we would have lost by more. Yeah the Rams played chippy and dirty, especially second half. You think the Steelers, Ravens, Eagles and Giants are going to play classy against us? Please. If we're going to be a good team, we're going to have to learn to deal with it, without bone-head mistakes like Morgan's. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Next draft better have some DBs taken with our first three picks. Kudos to Bradford and co for what they did, but we are not going to win 2 games in our division with a defense like that. Our offense is tight, but damn our D is going to be our Achilles heel this season with our secondary being so porous. Yeah dumb play by Morgan at the end, but this game should not have come down to one penalty meaning a W or L. Mulligan was wide open for that last score, nobody within 10 years of him. Our first pick next year needs to be the best CB or S available.

Rak out, Carriker out really hurt us. Kinda pissed Haslett didnt adjust game plan after Bradford torched us the first half and with our guys going down. I really dont like that Bob Slowick guy either. Why were those guys standing so close and whispering into each others ears all game? |

I felt like a flag could/should have been called for every couple plays. I wouldn't be as annoyed at the loss had they not acted like total jackasses. I mean even the Ravens who seem notorious for this kind of garbage, acted like Mr. Rogers compared to the Rams today. |

I just think it's something a good team has to handle themselves sometimes. Whether it's getting more fired up and dominating, or a little policing of our own like Portis drilling a DL on pass pro after they cheapshot our OL. Or any other number of ways without making an obvious personal foul.

ESPN Chris Russel reporting Carriker likely gone for the season(knee).
Arakpo headed for Dr James Andrews tomorrow.... |

Bowen should have won match-ups more than he did. Etc. |

That being said losing Orakpo and Carriker and Wilson really hurt. |

Chris baker has been inactive due to a lingering injury, hopefully he can play next week. Let's see what he do in the real games. |

Hell, you should have been in the game day thread earlier...got heated. I think Matty had to send a couple of them to the showers early. EMOTIONS MAN!!! THEY RULE ME! |

Hopefully Brian doesn't miss too many games if it is serious. We really need to focus on upgrading our DBs next offseason. We are not going to win too many games if all they become shootouts. We won last week, but lost this week. 8-8 will be an improvement, but not going to get us a wildcard. |
