Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday thread
6-2 is terrific!
I think the guys are fatigued. They had an intense training camp, an extra preseason game, and then 5 games against difficult opponents to start the regular season. I think this team badly needs the bye week not just for injury issues but also for emotional health. I predict bigger margins of victory after the bye week. Let's hope that they play Pittsburgh tough and then enjoy a well-deserved rest. HTT 6-2 R! |

CP being interviewed now.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday thread

He also said the event with The Coach is over....they put it aside and moved on. He said coach was a little excited. |

Quote From Shannon Sharpe on CBS "I don't know What Jason Campbell and Clinton Portis are eating and drinking but we need some of it" Quote from Bill Cowher "they look like a totally different ball club"
If we somehow beat the Steelers when's the last time the skins went 7-2 |
Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday thread
oh shit..lol I just remembered Don't the redskins predict the election results if they win the incumbant party wins if they lose the current party loses
Of course in 04 we should of won that game.. ehhh |

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday thread
Game was awesome!!!!!! Boy the Skins away crowd was just stupendous!!!!! They were loud and proud and it is a great testament to the classiness of Skins fans in general. Lots of burgundy and yellow in the stands today. I even met a Skins fan that came all the way from Toronto!! I was lucky enough to sit by a big bunch of Skins fans in the upper section in the one end zone(cheap seats). Still a very nice view of the game though. Skins are solid all around, but we do need to get a much needed pass rush scheme soon. Also, we need to quit the formations with no back to help protect Jason. 2 sacks=2 fumbles by Jason, and he didin't have any backs to help out with the rush.

Deion's an idiot! but....
DEION LAUNCHES THE IRONIC NICKNAME CLUB Posted by Mike Florio on October 26, 2008, 7:54 p.m. So we’re watching this weekend the highlight show on NFL Network. And Rich Eisen is narrating clips from the Redskins-Lions game (which was played in windy Ford Field). And Eisen mentions Redskins running back Shaun Alexander, the 2005 NFL MVP. And then Deion Sanders barks out his pet name for Alexander. Deion calls Alexander the “Tiptoe Burglar.” It’s funny. And it’s arguably right on the money. But Deion is the last guy who should be poking fun at anyone for being averse to physical contact. In Deion’s world, “run support” means possible procedures for controlling diarrhea. |

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday thread
There had to be a better RB available than the Tiptoe Burglar. When is Betts back?

I haven't caught anything on Betts the last two weeks but, it would be nice to think OR hope he will be ready after the well needed bye week. I hope we get a lot of these nicked guys on the o-line and defense back after the break. The bye this year is coming at the perfect time, just after the half way point. |
