I simply know that when the name commanders is announced, I will personally do more soul searching if this is the team and ownership that deserves the loyalty I have shown for over 45 years(since I was 8yrs old).

I hear year you I've been a fan since I was in 2'nd grade(I'm 60 now). I will continue to root for them but simple call them Washington or the Redskins. Would love to snyder forced to sell the tram but I don't think that will happen unless more and more crap that congress gets involved with keeps turning up.

This isn’t my local team. I have no ties to the area.
Darrell Green was a Washington Redskins.
I watched the Washington Redskins win 3 Super Bowls.

I’m really hoping for something that keeps me interested.

It's fucked up that Snyder gets to keep being a POS forever. And us fans have to make a shitty choice to leave or keep rooting for a team owned by him.

I talk about leaving, but I know I won't. I'm stuck with Snyder and the disasters on and off the field.

I also am an out of the area fan. I like Philly teams but love the skins...so I think that makes me not an average philly fan. I'm not an idiot. That being said...been a skins fan for 30 years now. Watched them win the big game in 91, and will never be a fan of another team. Regardless of name. I hate the legacy Snyder has made this team.
Most people are capitals fans...but its the same thing I'm watching happen with the flyers. It's really a heartbreaking thing to watch it happen. As a sports fan I follow the skins, flyers, and phillies.
I've had a really rough fo of it since like 2010.

We can have local celebrities read excerpts from Benjamin Franklin’s letter “Fart Proudly” (yes that is the actual name of the letter) before the 4th quarter to fire the crowd up. That Ben Franklin or Frankie Benz as his friends around Philly called him had quite the sense of humor.

I came across this name theory. It makes sense to me and I could definitely get behind it. Can’t post links yet because my account is new. But it’s on YouTube channel name is ref the district. Video name is what is in a name posted 5 days ago. Talks about how the name could be the Washington legends and the mascot could be the hog. Interesting video.
