Rosen and Darnold declared for the draft today.Time to move on from KC and draft a QB. There should be a decent QB available in the first round. The key is can the Redskins figure out who it is ?

Give up a top 10 QB to draft a potential starter?

Thst is the question. Pro GM's get it wrong all the time.

How many of our 1st through 3rd round draft picks have been "good" in the last 5 years?

QB is different than all the other positions. It is harder to play and predict.

Is there a decent pro QB in this year's draft? The answer is nobody knows until they get on the field.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I feel the same way my friend. I can’t see Kirk coming back to DC though. I hope we have a good plan B.

The debate is silly. You keep KC and draft a RB or LG.

Sweet, I'm looking forward to the 3 year qb grooming period bringing in a rookie will take before he actually becomes good.

I wonder if Case Keenums success this year has JG and BA thinking Colt can do the same.

It’s been a while but I got the impression early on that Jay preferred Colt over Kirk.

Colt might be a solid back up plan if Jay was right.
Then again, Gruden thinks Ryan Grant is as good as Julio Jones....

Colt is a solid back up - no more no less.

In the good old days that was true. However, now a day there are 1st and 2nd year QBs leading teams into the play-offs. The Redskins need a good GM more than anything else. They have squandered to many draft choices, money on free-agents, and contracts on their players.

How many of those first year flash-in-the-pans built upon it their second year and their third year? I'll admit it's easier for coaches to tailor game plans that make their rookie qb's succeed these days, but it doesn't always translate to bigger and better things in their later years. The kind of qb Kirk is now, aka the stay-in-the-pocket, go through your progressions while still having solid pocket awareness to make things happen when the pocket collapses, kinda guy that he is, those style qb's take at least a couple years to mold.
Meh for me on Bridgewater, lanky RG3 frame, durability a concern. Limited arm strength. I don’t get the hype.
I don't either. TB does nothing for me.

Rosen won't be there when we pick and Darnold looks like a project. I just don't have the stomach for a rookie. Not right now...

This situation sucks. My opinion literally changed for the 1000th time as I started typing this.

Don't see Kirk ever winning a SB. To me that outweighs everything. I'd rather take my chance on a rookie QB and tons of cap space to bring some younger vets in.

Yes, he's the best we've had in a long time, but if the best we have is 9ish wins and a 1st round exit, then that does nothing for me. If you ain't 1st you're last.

Its a gamble going with a rookie, but so is locking into a 5 year expensive contract with a 30 year old qb that hasn't consistently shown he can win when it counts.

-That's what I want, but I kinda lost any hope.

-I like Alex Smith a lot, but I'm not sure he would have the same production here, this team is still missing some pieces and he's 4 years older than KC.

I would sure like Case Keenum over Bridgewater, but wouldn't the Vikings be even fooler to let him go than the Skins to let Kirk go ?

(Not that Case would necessarily be better than Kirk but they/he had one hell of a season and they're going to the playoffs... And he might still be "cheaper" than Kirk, wouldn't he?)
