Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
^ ah, but the Giants had a Slobber knocker with the Steelers though right? both teams got pretty beat up and took a few injuries.
I honestly can't tell if the NFC East teams are all great teams beating up on each other or mediocre teams muddling through. Dallas falling off is a supprise to me due to their scoring ability last yr. Although we all predicted it being caused by T.O. The Giants are the supprise team from last yr and to be honest (I know I'm being a fan) the Giants don't scare me. Yea they won the first game, but I feel anyone would have beaten us. We didn't have our crap together. We weren't ready to play in our new offense. I also believe New Orleans should have beaten us also only because it was two games into the season with a new offense. Now me being a fan ....I say we are better then the Giants we can beat them. but are we going to see the St. Louis Rams ..Redskins or are we going to see the Dallas ...Redskins when we play the Giants? I used to be the "Hate Dallas type." but to be honest the rivalry has trickled off a little for me over the yrs. Don't get me wrong I hate them but now I look at the games in what is best for the Skins. We are ahead of the Cowgirls and Eagles. How do they say it ...The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I know the friend should be the Giants but for me..next weekend it will be Dallas. for me the Rivalry was huge in the 70's/80's. It's had through the 90's and majority of the 2000's to cool off. unfortunatly. Even the players really don't feel what the fans feel. Hell, player gets cut rivalry picks him up so what. It was blasphemy back in the day. Now it's about money and playing. I get more pissed at how our fans get treated at Eagles game in Philly then I care about Dallas. Even though their is a rivalry Dallas has some, even a little, class. Philly fans just need to have a boat load of Skins fans show up at one of their games and over run it, take a punch for the team and report the suckers so they can't enjoy the game. lol. |
Our offense still isn't up and running.
Could be true, but compare 328 yards & 83% completions and 120 yards every week from CP, plus big plays from Moss to Week 1's embarrassing showing. :D |
Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
Not a chance...I'm routing for the G-Men.

Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
absolutely not, dont want dallas to win. a win would get them back in the mix of things for the division title and playoffs. id rather a 2 team race than a 3 team race for the division title.

Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
Let's just win our games and let the pieces fall where they may.
I'm not going to root for Dallas, but I wouldn't mind them beating the Giants. My hope is for the Redskins to make the playoffs and be in a better position than the 5th or 6th seed in the playoffs, that is a priority over hating on the Cowpokes.
Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
Duck Fallas. Cowboys can suck my nuts. I hate the VaGiants too, but I wanna see Dallas tank and see TO implode and then cause a sytematic destruction to entire outfit. Here's hoping after Sunday, the pukes season does this: :Flush:

So to you hating Dallas is more important than the Redskins winning the division and possibly have some type of homefield advantage? That's smart. |
Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
I Will Never Root For Dallas To Win A Game.
I'm more focused on Monday night. Just win our games and the rest will fall into place.
i agree with ya smoot, we need to take car of our bussiness and we be in good shape. We need to stop hoping another team loses so it can help us, even though it be nice, we need to handle our!! bussiness, lol |
Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
This game is a win win no matter the outcome. We need to do one thing, beat the Steelers.

That kind of mentality seems to be prevalent around here. I understand the whole "must hate Dallas" frame of mind. And at this point in the season it may still be to early to give a shit who wins or if it matters between them and the Giants.....but IF and I'm saying IF it ever came down to a Dallas win to further the Skins position in the Post season....Please! For that one day everyone on here would be a closet Dallas fan. Anyways....onward and upward. Time to beat some Steel Town ass! HAIL! |
Re: Cheering for Dallas this Sunday.....????
As a Giant fan may I say Thanks to all who simply can not root for Dallas!I will say I do not feel very comfortable with the 9 points,Dallas does have talent and this is the NFC EAST...............games are tuff no matter what your record may be.I beleive the Giants can and will win but unlike others I'm looking at an OT ....tight one.:)
