Re: Plaxico Shot in Club

I hate the Giants but they don't need this idiot to win. The Giant's have a tough coach who has already dropped this moron like a hot rock. Plaxico will need all his money for some major legal talent. I think he'll do time and probably won't play in the NFL again.

Pierce will probably also get in trouble and will probably face criminal charges and sanctions from the NFL.

I believe Plaxico "the Giant idiot" as the NY media refers to him by, has been replaced by Hixon. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

What are you saying - I'm not a Redskins fan? Hey, I have 6000 posts on hR and almost 200 after joining this site 3 weeks ago.

I said the Giant's didn't need Plaxico to win. I posted after the game was played.

A multi-millionaire football player working for millions of dollars per year shots himself in the leg. Could do 3.5 years of jail time. Don't you call that stupid?

Why don't you read my post?

I believe SFREDSKIN was refering to Plaxico when he said , don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Thank you for clarifying. Like 53Fan said, I was referring to Plaxico "the Giant idiot" not you. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

My bad, I thought you were talking to me. My apologies.

My guess is that this NFL commissioner will have little sympathy for Burress. I suspect he will make his judgement before this is concluded in court.

I almost said make sure to put the safety lock on the way out or he'll get shot in the ass!

Nothing funny about carrying a handgun and not being responsible with it. I have no idea why he was in a public facility with a round chambered.

Poor judgement at the very least.

Yeah, unfortunately the newest pistols do not have the old manual safety locks on them ["Red is Dead"]. If there's a bullet in the chamber and you pull the trigger on the latest models, it will shoot. "Internal safety" now means that if you drop it on the floor it won't go off - but nothing else will stop it from firing if you pull the trigger.

Why you would carry a loaded pistol in an expensive club [with it's own security] is beyond me. He'll probably be thinking about that a lot when he's watching the NFL on tv...........
I agree that Pierce should probably be suspended, but only if charges are filed. But from initial reports it sounds like he tried to hide the gun in question. Maybe one of our legal experts (SGG?) could weigh in. I don't know what the exact charge would be, but tampering with and/or concealing evidence involved in a felony gun case doesn't sound fun to me.
I can't offer any decent insight because I'm not familiar with the relevant New York statutes or the underlying facts. However, I would think that the police and the district attorney's office are looking at obstruction of justice and, as you pointed out, evidence tampering charges.

I can attest to the fact that NYPD and the NY County DA's office will not hesitate to prosecute this felony to the max.

The laws here in Manhattan are fairly straightforward. The intolerance to firearms is one of the major reasons I enjoy living here.

That and the clubs...
Look at my earlier post... It's actually a new law in New York- if you possess an illegal firearm in the city, it's a 3.5 year minimum sentence, no exceptions. And he is expected to be charged this week.
yeah it's a law Bloomberg passed in the last few years, not good news for Plax.

Bloomberg came out and said there will be no exceptions made for Plex.

BTW, If Pierce took the gun and hid it, He should be charged with possession of an illegal firearm and suspended by the league.

It's a goes back to P diddy and what happen with him a few years back.Bloomberg needs to shut his mouth ,Plax has a good Lawyer and even Jack Ford said yesterday alot of cases like this have been dealt down, the NY system just can't handel everyone with a gun.as I said before he'll never play for the Giants again, the Giants can get their money back and not take a cap hit,he'll be traded to some team...the Raiders ...for a #412th pick in 2020(lol)
