mostly because they're illegal

not all drugs should be legal, but yeah

there've been plenty of people killed over cars, property, clothing, etc too
You thought wrong once again. Oklahoma just signed into law saying they reserve the right as a soverign state to nullify any federal law on guns manufactured in their state. They have de facto banned gun control in their state and reserved the right to regulate guns the way they see fit, end of story. Many states are nullifying federal laws they find intrusive.
You can't nullify something that hasn't been instituted yet. We'll just have to see who will blink...the feds or states. I'm taking the feds.
So the cops told you the same thing that I did, yet I'm wrong, I fail to see how that works.

I didn't say live in fear and you admitted that you have no reason to fear, your post is so circular I've become dizzy.

Is your neighborhood overrun with dealers? No.
No offense dude but I hardly listen to you. I have a general rule on here, if you have been around for just a around a year and have almost 2k post chances are you have diarrhea of the mouth. See EQ for example.

True. Guess it depends on the type of drugs and the quantity.

What's so veiled about that?

You can nullify all of the Federal regulations that have already been passed. Take California for instance. There is a Federal law prohibiting the sale of Marijuana. Yet the voters of Cali have told the Feds to take a hike and sell it like it's going out of style. Yeah, it's supposed to be for sick people but that's so easy to get around.
Oklahoma doesn't care what Congress or Obama say or do. They're not going to allow the Feds to grab their guns. Just because they say they'll not make new gun or drug legislation doesn't mean the people believe them. Maybe you haven't been keeping up with the news, but there is an ammunition shortage in this country because it's flying off the shelves. Guns shows are doing record business too.

Don't worry. I think as long as you don't sh*t on everyone else's posts then you'll be fine.

I don't think that's necessarily a good rule. Maybe true in a few instances, but definitely not all. I've been around for here almost 3 years (man, time flies), and have over 5K posts. But that's an average of less than 6 posts per day. I wouldn't call that diarrhea. There are plenty of posters here with high counts who bring a lot to the site.

One thing the government can do is institute a tax on guns and ammo. I've heard a proposed 500% tax increase on ammo is the reason everyone is buying it up -- including me.

Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed

To be honest, the best thing you can do is make an anonymous tip to the police & hope that you aren't the only one who saw him & also made calls. The problem with this country today is that there are so many hoops that the cops have to jump thru in order to make a solid arrest, in a situation like this it could take months, even years before they do anything about it. In the meantime, if this guy has any kind of memory whatsoever & happens to see you again & again, he WILL...mark my words, WILL make a move against you in some way. It may not even be him, per say. It could be one of the countless people that he meets on his walks. You won't even know. I have seen it too many times before & have known some rather unsavory people in my life. Trust me, make an anonymous tip & then avoid this guy at all costs. You don't want any retribution from someone who is already breaking the law.

Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed

So, just wanted to give a small follow up on this thread since there seem to be some interest. Basically the DD has left me alone, occasionally says hi and shared a funny moment with me and a treadmill delivery. He has been mainly doing his dealing at the public pool parking lot down the street from me now but still walks through our neighborhood because he lives at his folks to get to the pool.

A couple weeks ago I get a weird piece of mail that is hand written. I open it up and it is a picture of him with his address full name and his police record. It says to look out for him that he is selling drugs in the neighborhood and at the pool and if you see him call the local drug enforcement number. The really kicker is they say he is a registered sex offender in the state of MD. I looked his name up and he is not an offender but how many people will. The letter went to every house in my neighborhood. It has been quit the talk amongst neighbors.

The other thing this person did is late at night they put out garage/yard sale signs but they say Drug Sale with his address and picture. It also says lots of cash on premises.

Well I have not seen my buddy in some time now. We will see how will it works, I am guessing once it dies down he will be back at it.
