See here is my thing w/ Rogers. Everyone jumps on him for dropping balls but would you rather him constantly get burned? I'd rather him hold his man down. That's what corners are suppose to do and he is probably our best cover corner.
Rogers has had opportunities to turn games around and create wins. If he could catch the ball better than a 6 yr. old girl with any kind of consistency at all, he would be one of the best in the league. As it is, he is still a good cover corner. If anything, he has stopped himself from being considered elite and cost himself a fair amount of money. It's not his fault that some games were lost, but the ending could have been different had he held on to the ball. For as many balls as he's dropped, he was also in the right place to break up the pass. Just wish the dude could catch.

I think teams actually look to go at him because they know he cant catch and therefore a mistake wont result in an INT.

This would be fine on a team that expects the defense to be just average (teams that have strength in other areas). However, our defense is supposed to be one of the best and is supposed to be one of our "playmaker" units. And in situations like this, the defense is expected to make a play and come up with the pick. I'm not going to say that Rogers' drops have cost us games or anything (that'd be stupid to say), however, his drops are one of many signs that we do not have an elite defense like Baltimore, Minnesota, or Pittsburgh (with Polamalu)

remember that pick 6 he got on detroit 2 years ago? He read that thing & made a perfect catch in stride. On the other hand, he's read plays before (pitt last year) & dropped it.

It seems like he really can't catch the ones that he's surprised by that land right on the #s.
What was the dude that used to play for the Broncos that got kicked out of the league. Can't think of his name. I think it was Travis Henry. Got them confused for a second. Saw the pic and was like nevermind.. lol

Chris Henry isn't that impressive.
From his Wiki page:

[edit] Tennessee Titans

Henry was selected in the second round (50th overall pick) of the 2007 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans. On November 3, 2007, Henry received a four game suspension from the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Henry reportedly tested positive for a banned prescription medication that is not performance-enhancing.[1] He finished his rookie season rushing for 119 yards on 31 carries and two touchdowns in seven games.
During his second season Henry played in only one game and got only one carry for three yards.
Henry was released by the Titans on September 29, 2009.

As it has been though, he's been covering like a fringe number one corner this year, which makes a flat drop on an INT exponentially more frusterating.

If he's not 100% because of injury, I'd like to see him use the reduced game speed to his advantage, and slow down and pay attention to detail, like catching a ball that hits you in the chest. Right now, he's underacheving a bit, and for a guy in a contract year, it's disappointing to say the least.

But he's still our best corner, at the end of the day.

One pick changes everything for Los.

Wish it was the one in the playoff game against the Seahawks...
Flacco is probably the most improved QB in the NFL, last year to this year. I thought Campbell was a LOT better last year, but now, Flacco probably holds a small edge. Flacco is a top 11 or 12 QB.
What the hell is that Kool-Aid laced with? Flacco has been head and shoulders better since the middle of last year. Campbell would have a hell of a time even beating out Troy Smith to back-up Flacco. And we don't even need to debate it. Campbell will likely bounce around the league as a backup for the rest of his career while Flacco will start for the Ravens for the next 10-15 years. File this under 'Wait and See.'

Yeah this needs to be debated later on, but right now? Flacco just looks the part of a total stud QB for the next decade or more. Now I don't think there is any need to debate Troy Smith and JC.

Which is critical if his LT is out for awhile. And the guy is only 24.

Last year he was a big time ball holder. But then again, he was a rookie, so it was understandable.

Sometimes he looks good. Sometimes he's like a deer in head lights waiting to get hit, and he does. I think Flacco is a much better QB.
