Sam looked awesome in his workout, without pads and without a 350 DE chasing him and once he lands awkwardly on that shoulder he will be done! I pray the Rams take him at #1, so I don't have to cringe every time his is slammed on that shoulder.
Yeah cause thats exactly how the Saints felt right? Bradfords shoulder was not as bad as Brees and Brees has held up how many yrs now?

Uh, most likely no we can't, Clausen has had a season ending toe injury. I mean thats all we need is to pick Clausen and have him running for his life and get hit once. Bam he's no good to us anymore. ;)

Can't take McCoy either apparently he had a shoulder injury also. :(

Pike apparently suffered two major injuries. Can't take him either.

J.Brown suffered a concussion and ankle injury. Most likely it will re-occur when he get hit in the NFL. Can't take him.

Bulaga has a Thyroid condition that has cost him games in the past. He's out.

I haven't even expored any injuries from draft prospects while in high school.
Rams fall asleep, miss getting pick in on time, we already have trade deal worked out with #2 in this situation. Nevermind that they'll have him signed before the draft.
It might work if we get Riggo to take the Rams representatives out to a strip club and gets them hammered. ;)

or simply order the whole Rams representatives drinks to be sent over to their table at the draft with crushed Benadryl pills in them. ;)

The good news is he's been in a plastic bubble his whole life which means no injuries and plenty of time to study the play book. LOL.

Good read. Both Clausen and Bradford have their projected downsides. I'm more optimistic about both of these players today than ever but, we need to get better upfront. If Okung is gone, trade down.

This could be our only chance left to gwt Bradford...

Talk mounts that Bradford won't sign a pre-draft contract
Posted by Mike Florio on March 29, 2010 7:55 PM ET
Amid reports that the Rams are talking to the agents for multiple players who could be the first overall pick in the 2010 draft, there's increasing chatter that, as to one of the players, there may not be much to discuss.

We're hearing from multiple league and media sources that Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford could refuse to sign a pre-draft contract with the Rams.

In the past four drafts, the only top pick not signed in advance of the commencement of the selection process was Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell. He ultimately held out into the regular season.

If Bradford declines to agree to terms before being picked, and if the Rams ultimately don't select him, Bradford would slide to the Redskins at No. 4, at worst. (He also could end up going second or third, if a team that needs a quarterback moves up.) Operating from the four hole, Bradford likely would then attempt to invoke the so-called "quarterback premium" in the hopes of getting more than the first overall pick, just as Matt Ryan did from the third spot two years ago.

If the Rams pick Bradford without a contract in place, the leverage then flips to the player, with the Rams compelled to get the guy signed in the hopes of justifying the pick and turning around a franchise that seems far longer than a decade removed from a Super Bowl win.

We also don't rule out the Rams picking Bradford and then attempting to trade him, like the Chargers did six years ago with Eli Manning.

Either way, Adam Schefter's prediction could end up being wrong -- but not because Bradford won't be regarded as the best player in the draft. The Rams could decide that they won't take Bradford if he makes it clear that he won't sign a contract.

Celts, that is big news.

We need him to pull an Eli or Elway.

Celts, thanks for that. T'would be nice to see Bradford at #4.

Maybe Bradford wants to work with the Shanahans and so he will be standoffish in his dealings with the Rams. Just a dreamy thought.

Re: Sam Bradford's pro day workout should clear up top of NFL draft

John Clayton brought this contract thing up the other day. He thinks though, and I tend to agree, that even with the tenuous ownership situation in St. Louis they will still pay above market and ensure that they get Bradford. The only thing that could keep it from happening is that apparently Spags is still not totally bought into the idea. But I think he gets overruled.

I read J. Reids RI post this morning about the Eli trade. Four picks including 2 first rounders! If the Rams are trying to get that, I don't see the new Allen regime going for it.
