Your just destined to be unhappy huh??? |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Here's a positive. Even if Vick get's healthy the Eagles and him have to fly across the country to play this
A talented 0-4 49ers team that's hungry for it's first win. |
I'd like to see a balance beam at Redskins part, and to see Fred Davis and Armstrong on it. It was a helluva catch by Armstrong though, and his second one (though out of bounds) was even better. I think the wind may have affected the accuracy of deep passes.
Yeah I think the wind carried that first Ball to Davis who was wide open in the 1st, im sure would have been a score Did anyone else think that on that play? |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
We start 2-0 in the division.. That's a great start. Still need to win 1 of the next 2. Green bay is one of the best teams in the league, should be a good game .

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Nice win, I think the coaches really had them ready to play.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
The main positive is this team found a way to win on the road. Losing Vick certainly helped and Kolb was terrible. Torain really was running with authority. Holding down Jackson and Macklin was another positive. But all I care about was getting the win.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
I voted McNabb simply because of the moment. He did have an acceptable early portion of the game and no one else particularly stood out with the exception of ATV and he needs to do some serious work on his blocking.
The defense deserves mention as well. All things considered, they did a reasonably good job being on the field as long as they were. |
Adjustment on defensive scheme was a good thing to see
It looked like a ton of 4 -3 to me...with a lot of Haynesworth. I did see a couple 2 man fronts, that usually failed...but a 4 man front is better than the 3 we'd been seeing. Looked a lot more like last years 4-3 defense than the prior 2 weeks garbage....and that is a good thing.
Your right there was a lot of base 4-3 alignments, but he never blitzed off of it, he stunted a few times. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Absolutely Banks and the running game. Just some nice bright spots to build on in the future. Even though Armstrong had that one huge catch only, he was constantly getting separation. I think he'll be great the more he gets to play (GREAT catch on that one out of bounds though!).

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Looks like we have a nice RB duo with the emergence of Torain. Loved how he ran with power on his TD run.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Last year ARE had 102 yards on 17 punt returns in 16 games.
Yesterday, Banks had 75 yards on 3 returns. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Definitely like Banks back there for the big play ability, but when we're backed up I liked that Buchanon was out there.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
I like how McNabb beat both Vick and Kolb in his first outing vs. the Eagles. LOL

The way Torain freight trained Quentin Mikell and then moved on for 6 points was sweet. One of our best highlights of the year so far. |
Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
I give Mike Shanahan mad props for getting Portis out of the "entitled" attitude he's developed over the last few years here. 2009 Portis would not have done all those jukes and stuff to get the first down.
