Keep doing what you are doing bro. Much appreciated. I would do backflips from here (g'ville,NC) to Redskins park if they pull of the Luck trade. I'm hoping like hell that Indy has RGIII ranked close to Luck come draft time. |
Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
I truly cannot picture Andrew Luck wearing John Beck's jersey next year... I just can't wrap my brain around him being a Redskin.
Though... People who have seen my in-game posts (where whatever I type is immediately contradicted) would think that maybe this is a really good thing.... lol |
What about Joe webb as a possible camp competitor? I actually like him as a backup anyway
Smoot, do you know what SC was referring to with the 72 hr deal? I know you guys talked so I wasn't sure if he mentioned some work around as it related to trading before the new league year.
Nope. As I said originally I've never heard of the Vikings being involved, so that's him |
Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
I just can't believe that any of these scenarios make sense to the Colts.

If they thought RGIII was close to Luck in terms of a prospect and what they wanted to do with their new system. It would make huge sense for them to make that sort of deal and pick up extra picks. They are most likely going to gut that team so they need all the picks they can get. |
Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Can't our first round pick alone become a QB more skilled than Sam Bradford? You have the sixth pick in the draft: that's more valuable than Sam Bradford, even if you strip the value of the pick to simply taking the best QB available.
Luck and rg3 are the only qbs I'd take with a first round pick and they'll be gone |

To clarify I've heard rumors but not through any of my own sources |
Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Wow.
I've read pretty much every post on this board and agree with all of them. I have found that me being a pessimist, is a great thing, because if I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, I'll be very happy because we will have just gotten Andrew Luck, the Franchise QB we have been looking for since Sonny Jurgensen. I don't see it happening, because like people have said why would Indy pass up a great player to give him to us, regardless of what players and picks we give them? The more I watch gold ole' reliable SportsCenter and NFLN, the more I think Peyton Will Be Cut. If Peyton were there in Indy, then I would buy this rumor more, because I think RG3 would be more cooperative than Luck. I would love, having Luck on this team, even bradford, but not as much as Luck. Also I would trade Orakpo for Luck, but not for Bradford. Again thanks for the info, but I'm not getting my hopes up. |

Have you heard any rumors about the Skins looking into Yates or Schaub? |
Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Nope.
Respectfully disagree with every word of this post.
Who said Orakpo wanted to be traded? The Redskins shopping Orakpo and Orakpo wanting to be traded are two entirely different things...
All of this and chips and pickles on the side |
Re: I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)
Nope.
Well that sucks. I would think that their price tag probrally would've been lower. |

I'm not saying that you are making it up. I think the Skins are doing everything possible to get a decent QB and exploring all avenues, and in some cases I think they are doing or saying things they have no intention of doing in order to keep other teams from knowing what they would like to do. If other teams knew we were putting all our chips in for Flynn then some other team might try to out bid just because if we want him he must be good or try for him just to shaft us and if nothing else to drive up the price. If no one is sure of what we are doing then its harder to shaft the Skins. Again I'm not saying your making it up or passing BS on purpose, I'm saying I think your passing on information the team is wanting to get out through the rumor mill and in the mean time having a totally different direction they are actually wanting to go in. |

Even then, he has stated this info is in the form of a "rumor". But, I would bet my clean pair of Monday's underwear that if Smack is ever wrong, it's not often and/or it's because the team did in fact consider a certain option he has stated, but decided for option B (or C) instead. Smack has a great reputation around here...and I respect HIM a lot. If he's completely and utterly wrong, we'll egg his house. ;-) |
