Even if Flynn signs with Browns and Manning goes to Dolphins, we are still going to have to trade up to #2 or #3 to get RG3 but it may lower the cost for us to get him.
What makes you say this? I gotta imagine its ideal for the browns to get their starting qb. Theres never any guarantees in the draft and RG3 could fall to six. He could fall to 15 you never know. Aaron Rogers was pegged as top 3 pic guaranteed too. |

Why not? Brad Smith and Josh Cribbs too. |

I gotta imagine if Cleveland takes Flynn, and Miami Manning that RGIII falling to six is all but certain. |

I would certainly not propose to tell you what or how to think, but surely you can understand that some of us may see the situation differently. Four surgeries, uncertainty about recovery, his age, and playing out of his comfort zone in Indy would be factors that might be considered when evaluating the wisdom of adding him to the Redskins roster. |

Key would could. There could be a mystery team that might trade to 2,3,4,5 pick to grab him. If he is the QB we want then I think you can't take any chances of some other team leap frogging us to get him. |
Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
With the Vikings and Rams targeting Khalil and Blackmon would they want to drop to the 12-20 spots is the case. Everyone has a price yes but not everyone is Atlanta Falcons stupid.

No but the Bucs or browns could drop that far to pick up extra picks. They do pick before us. Who knows what can happen? The Seahawks or chiefs could trade up. I am saying if we want him we better go get him and not wait for him to drop. |
Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
True. I'm for trading up but if Cleveland takes Flynn I'm about 90% sure Blackmon is a Brown. Bucs apparently love Claiborne, but I agree go get him. If I was the GM the trade would be unofficially official around the beginning of April lol.

Funny you should mention his name, I was in DC this weekend ran into Antwaan Randle El, Marcus Stroud, and Marques Colston. What are you guys doing here I asked them. "We're taking a business class at GW for the offseason." "Oh ok good luck! Marques, we want you! come to the Skins." MC " Haa.. we'll see man" Randle El "They'll definitely pay you! HaHa HAA." we all laughed and went our separate ways down china town |
I still see Flynn in Miami and Browns getting RG3, Manning to us along with RT
It amazes me that some doubt Peyton.
what is amazing about the doubt? i can throw a football farther than him. it's been how long since the injury? it's been how long since the first surgery? he's had how many surgeries? i'm not putting him into the same category as santa claus or the easter bunny, but come on, doubt is very reasonable at this point. let me know when he can throw a football farther than i can.
This article was written to remind you it is almost too easy to get useful draft information from Mike Holmgren. Though this isn't really breaking new ground now that it's been reported.
Browns focusing on five in the first round | ProFootballTalk The biggest takeaway from this: that the Browns can get someone from that group for certain if they trade down from 4 to 6. The Dolphins remain a wild card pending free agency, but I still think Griffin will be there at no. 4, and I doubt that the Dolphins can put together an offer that beats the Redskins offer if the Browns really want someone on that short list.
Personally I think not. Christian Ponder Could Be Odd Man Out for Vikings
Last week, the rumors that Minnesota would entertain drafting Luck or Griffin, got some credibility, as Vikings GM Rick Spielman acknowledged it would be under consideration. To that I say, why wouldn’t it be? Sure it’s not what Christian Ponder wants to hear, but beyond that, the Vikings are stupid to not weigh all their options.

Many Vikings fans want to draft Justin Blackmon, which would give Ponder a clear number one option for years to come. This is definitely a realistic option, and should be under equal consideration. However, the most important position in the NFL is quarterback. Elite QB’s don’t just come around every year. The Vikings have a chance that presents itself to a franchise, maybe once every fifteen years
Report: Browns will try to draft RG3
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, there’s a really good chance that the Browns will attempt to trade up for the second overall pick in April’s draft, in order to get Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. “If the Browns determine at the Combine next week and maybe through one or two more visits that RGIII is their man, I don’t think they would hesitate to give up their No. 4 and their No. 22 to pull off this deal,” said Cabot. “… It’s almost a perfect match. I think at this point it’s very likely that could happen.” The Browns will of course have to outbid the Washington Redskins for the second pick, since they’ve also been mentioned as team that’s looking to trade up for RGIII.. There’s no question though that the Browns have a lot more ammunition then the Redskins to make the trade happen.
I'm just saying as I've said in the past don't think just because we want RGIII that no one else will attempt to get him. Don't think that because each team above us from 1-5 has other needs besides QB ... don't think they are not thinking the same way you guys are ... that RGIII " solves our QB situation for the next 10+ years". I just have not seen that the Rams, Vikes, or Browns are satisfied with their QB situation and won't draft a QB. Yes they have several options to think about but if their coaching staff believes as some fans here do that RGIII is a once in a life time type of QB then expect them to make a run at drafting him also. I just don't see the Skins being able to pick up RGIII and don't see him falling to them at #6. Trade back pick up more picks get the next best QB and WR to make a duo for the future. |

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
^Sure. As much as I like RG3 and Luck. I know that it takes more than just a "franchise" QB to win a championship.
