ESPN 980 @ESPNRadio980 Per a source, Tanard Jackson is seeing a doctor today for an unknown medical issue. Considered not serious, but still brings another ? mark |

How was he during the Colts game? It was tough for me to follow him. |
Re: Official Redskins First Cuts Thread
I don't get all if the "lets look for kickers cut by other teams to bring in" talk.
Gano beat out Rackers. He won. Give him a little credit and confidence. Would you really want some other team's cast-off over the winner of our kicking battle? Rackers was a good challenge for Gano. In fact, in the games, only Rackers got to kick FGs and he missed one of his two attempts. |

James Lee...thank you for your services

Re: Official Redskins First Cuts Thread
Gano does have to fix those low-trajectory kicks. However, the Special Teams unit also needs to learn how to block better. Red Bryant destroyed Will Montgomery in those two FGs blocked against Seattle; and Calais Campbell (who's like 6'9") went untouched in that blocked XP in the Arizona game.

Re: Official Redskins First Cuts Thread
Are you getting these in real time or were all of these cuts made this morning and the players' names are just starting to trickle out now?

More or less real time. Was once a time when I would know when the coaches knew. Now...I have an idea but don't officially really know until the players themselves do. I have a good sense of what's coming down, but don't report anything until I can be totally sure |
Re: Official Redskins First Cuts Thread
Hearing Kevin Barnes was traded to Detroit after he initially thought he was released. per WashTimes.

Interesting. I'm surprised they are informed this late in the day. Hard Knocks makes it seem like they are told right as they walk through the front door. |
Re: Official Redskins First Cuts Thread
So far, the only one cut who had a realistic shot at making the team are Rackers and Barnes althoug it sounds like Madieu may be joining that list.
If Madieu goes, Doughty stays - and I'm okay with that. (Jackskon, Merriweather, Doughty and Gomes on the team, Bernstien to PS) |
