Build it between NoVa and Blacksburg so it won't be such a long trip for me, lol! |
Well, it's kind of looking like the media might be "forcing" a change at Fedex in regards to the field, whether if we like it or not:

They need to do it quarterly throughout the year then. Just put down field turf and be done with it. |

I've really wondered over the past couple of years if that's what is stopping Snyder from making the improvements to the field, the possibility of FedEx being a short-term home with a possible move back into D.C. However, we just renovated with the big screen and the party decks, so I think that theory is shot down now. It should be a simple decision for Dan...do you want to protect your investment? RGIII is probably his biggest investment to date in terms of potential return. |

Re: Field Condition
How on earth does Greenbays field always look awesome? Whatever they do in the frozen tundra they need to do at fedex.

This is a horrible idea for a couple of reasons: 1) Fedex is one of the one of the newer/nicer stadiums in the league. Financially, for the team, league, and taxpayers who'd be expected to contribute, it doesnt make sense to move. Its just a dream of older fans who daydream about the "glory days." 2) Unless you want to root for the Washington Warriors, you shouldnt want the team to move back to D.C. Redskins name change should be discussed, Vincent Gray says
Mayor Vincent C. Gray (D) today suggested there would have to be a controversial prerequisite to any stadium deal: a name change, or at least discussion of one.
The Washington "Redskins" are not moving back to D.C. Time to move on. |

Maybe that is why they are always rated as one of the best franchises for fan experiences every year. Also because the fans own the team. |

So he drops mega millions on players/coaches but won't drop a couple million for a field? Not sure I buy that's the reason. |

I think the fan experience is great because of how long the stadium's been there, special rule consessions the NFL makes for Lambeau, and the fact that, for the most part, they've had a good team to root for, for the majority of its history. Most recently, theve only had 2 losing seasons in the past 20 years. |

Time to move on.
1) It was a hypothetical situation. I know they won't move. 2) This fall the stadium will be 16 years old, not exactly new. 3) There are 16 newer stadiums in the NFL, I would not call it one of the newer stadiums in the NFL. It is in the bottom half. 4) If you move to Northern Virginia or DC, two of the richest areas in the nation, especially the US, they would be able to find the funds for it, if Indianapolis and Dallas found the resources, I am sure Northern VA or DC could find the resources. 5) Like the article states, they would discuss it, the mayor would need support in order to create a change... you really think he is going to get it? Northern VA is also an option and would have the backing of an entire state, unlike DC (which is only a city). 6) The stadium is nice? I went to different sites to get different opinions of the quality of the stadium on a gameday for fans and fan experience Washington ranks 25th, 19th, and 27th, |

I was referencing the part of the quote about moving the stadium. But I do not know why Snyder does not invest in field improvements. |

Just like Pittsburgh, that is why they are considered two of the top franchises in the NFL. |

They are money sinks for the community. They really don't generate capital as you might think. They take more from the community than they end up giving back. |
Re: Field Condition
F a name change. I'd rather move the team to West Virginia than lose the Redskins name.
Wheeling Redskins sounds better than Washington Warriors to me. Heck, build it at the Charlestown race track. |
