Dan Marino
Warren Moon
Jim Kelly
Dan Fouts
Fran Tarkenton

Are not great quarterbacks? You can not use SB wins as the end all be all of rating QBs.
They were great but in the NFL you are judged by winning SB's. Manning is a notorious SB choker.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 7

The problem with Super Bowls is that it comes down to 1 game. Do you think Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan have the rings they do if the NBA title was a one game elimination?

Hell no.

There is too much that can happen in one game, and it relies on 30+ other players to do their job.

I suggest you look at Vanderjagt's playoff kicking percentage. Look at Vinateri's. See how many games were lost/won by said kicking. Again, SO many factors in winning a super bowl to hold that against a player.

If you want to use SBs, Timmy Smith was a better RB than Barry Sanders. Yeah...sounds stupid doesn't it?

Ironically Manning and Luck are now tied for the league lead in TD passes (19). Then again Luck also has 2 rushing TD's :D

Huh huh, league lead. Thats like a tongue twister huh huh.

Manning 11-12 in playoffs, 1-2 in SB's tell that to Montana, Starr, Unitas and Brady.
It's all opinion and I choose Montana. Peyton you have to spend too much money to get the pieces he needs.
How so? Peyton isn't asking for any of these pieces. One of the main reasons Bill Polian was fired is because he neglected the defense. That's the thing. Peyton makes these WRs much better than what they are. He puts them in a position to succeed and flourish. Do you see Decker putting up the numbers he did in Denver? Nope. Most of these guys (Darius/Julius/Decker) were here before Peyton Manning. How come they weren't doing 1/2 of what they are doing? The QB play.

No, only fans and media do stupid shit like that.

It's a team game. HERR DERRR

Like I said. Manning has to rely on 30+ other players to do it as well, and quite frankly he hasn't had the same support as many of these guys you list. Same with Dan Marino. One game eliminations isn't something you base a person's worth on. To do so is short sighted and narrow minded to say the least.

Wasn't the great Bill Polian his team architect? Didn't they build some great teams in Indy and have pretty good coaches? Take the blinders off, I'd take Brady over Manning any day. So you have to be childish and start name calling? Grow up man.

They built a great offensive team, not a great team. The defenses sucked.

Listen, you don't win in the playoffs with a high power offense. Defense rules in the playoffs. History shows that time and time and time again.

If you want to win the regular season, have a great offense. You want to win in the post season, have a good defense.

Name calling? WTF are you talking about? Can you show me where I called you a name? Holy Raptor Jesus you should learn to read.

I'm done with this. You aren't worth the effort. Namely because your logic (none) is all over the place.

Whether he's the absolute best or not, Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and in my opinion we're blessed to witness his career live. But no, let's just dismiss him as a Super Bowl choker

Today is Manning's day. He is one of the best to ever do it. He might not be the best to ever do it in some people's opinion (including mine to be honest) but you can't deny what he has accomplished. He's thrown more than 100 touchdown passes in the last three years which is crazy to think about considering he just came off neck surgery.

All time touchdown leader.
5 time MVP.
One of the greatest QBs to ever play.

Roger Staubach
Terry Bradshaw
Troy Aikman
Steve Young
Drew Brees
Phil Simms

............cases can be made that they are all great NFL QB's

I feel fortunate to have watched the career of Peyton Manning, the best QB that I've ever seen with my own eyes (sorry Bob Waterfield).

It was great to see him break the record last night. No one is more deserving than Peyton Manning. Awesome player, class act.

how close were we? 2nd or 3rd option?

Oh how things would be different if King Shanny would have not had that much control of the personel moves. Thanks Dan
